Appearance
Though considered "petite" by Nordenfiir standards, Sigrith might be considered somewhat beastly to a normal human. Taller than average and boasting the physique of a seasoned warrior, Sigrith's outward appearance is far less friendly than her actual personality. As a Nord, she retains a certain amount of inhuman strength and a higher than average longevity for exertion as well as a tolerance for cold, pain, and unusual meal choices.

Easily identified by both her dual-hued eyes of blue (right) and violet (left) and the long mane of unruly hair that shifts from a deep ebony at the roots to a chalky white at the ends, Sigrith's isn't a face you easily forget. Her skin is pale and marked by ritualistic charcoal smudges around her eyes and face. The only permanent markings are the line of black tattooed across the middle of her lower lip and down her chin, and a permanent black marring of her entire left arm.

She travels with her world on her shoulders, quite literally. Sigrith carries everything she needs at all times, which is made all the easier by the live-by-her-means lifestyle. Her layers of clothing often consist of hand-woven cloths, leather, furs and pelts, and a myriad of trinkets. Her ears are rimmed by silver piercings, her neck is typically adorned by amulets, wooden totems, fangs and claws, horns, skulls, beads and stones, seashells, etc. Various satchels and bags often hand about her figure, carrying ingredients and supplies for her various magics and spells. At her back is the only possession that holds any value to her, personally: her sword.

Personality
Coy, inquisitive, spiritual, secretive, manipulative, mercurial.

Magic
Sigrith does not possess the ability to shift into a bear like her mother, but this does not seem to hinder her desire to explore and travel the more dangerous reaches of the world. She, instead, is a practicing Witch - taught by the coven of bog witches in the south of Eretejva. She is a companion of Signe and keeps a large, three-eyed raven as a familiar. Sigrith practices her own form of shifting to that of a large black and white marked direwolf.

History
Sigrith was born the seventh daughter of Jorn Thurna, the ruling matriarch of the Nordenfiiri settlement Hjerim in the western mountain peaks. Her father was a human of the southern hunting tribes who had become stranded in the mountains during a storm and broke his leg trying to get home. He was found by the Hjerim clan and brought to Thurna who took a liking to the man for his reverence of their people and his ability to entertain with stories. A fleeting romance formed between them while the man healed, resulting in a child he would never learn about before taking his leave to return home. To this day Sigrith does not know his name nor even if he still lives.

As it goes between human and Nordenfiir couplings, a child only stands a 50% chance of gaining a Svalen. Sigrith did not, but this did not earn her any ire from her mother. She was raised just as her six siblings before her; to be a strong warrior and a proud shield maiden of Hjerim. Sigrith learned to survive, hunt, kill, and wield a weapon with the same skill and ferocity of a Nordenfiir. Though she was never as strong as her kin, she was honored all the same. But the life as a Shield Maiden for a people she would never fully belong to did not sit well with Sigrith. A curiosity for the lands and people beyond Nordengaard eventually won her favor.

When the day came that she would have left for her journey to find her Svalen, she instead left to find her place in the world. She has not returned to Hjerim since.

Sigrith journeyed south where she eventually found Signe, a disgraced Nordenfiir who had lost her Svalen to the greed of revenge. A kinship of sorts formed between them, given their similarities, and Sigrith stayed to learn the ways of new magic alongside this woman and her coven of sisters. Sigrith's mercurial nature takes her on long journeys through the tundra in search of something she'll never have, but she's always returned to the witches.
