Christian Vide
"Beware ye beware ye, ye marked for death.
Despair of the parden don't hold thine breath.
Lust not for the flowers in the gardens of foes.
Beware ye beware ye, of the Phantom Rose."
- Lullaby of the Phantom Rose
Appearance
Christian has a fairly handsome face with narrow but kind features, his eyes are clear and observant but always half lidded. He is strong for his build and very lean, like someone made a scarecrow out of bricks, his muscles are hard but he has very little mass.
His hair is unruly and cut short though it sometimes hangs over his eyes, but otherwise the rest of his body is completely hairless.
He dresses in casual civilian clothes, trousers with a button up shirt and a brown jacket. He has the look of a working man who gets the job done with his own calloused hands.
He's every bit the upstanding citizen, but if one were to look at him and gaze deep into those eyes... Any who recognize it see the eyes of death.

Skills, Traits & Weaknesses
Bladesman: If it has an edge that can cut he can wield it with mastery, though he prefers lighter weapons.
Death From Afar: He has nearly inhuman hand eye coordination and an accuracy comparable to the finest Elven bow masters.
Acrobat: He's just as comfortable flipping through the air as he is running on the ground, gravity seems to be the only thing keeping him from flying, parkour tumbling and evasion are like child's play to him and his reaction times are off the chart.
Illusionist: He is skilled in a limited array of illusion spells.
Necromantic: He is learning techniques for using a limited form of necromancy.
Domestic Duties: He's learned carpentry, construction, gardening, cooking and cleaning and does them very well.

Blank: He is completely emotionless, everything long ago beaten and trained out of him, there is not a single thought in his head that is influenced by distraction or feeling. He kills and feels nothing.
Uncanny: His physical attributes verge on inhuman. He has the strength to draw an Orcish longbow, the speed and footwork of a master fighter, and he is flexible enough to tie himself in knots.

Personality
Outwardly he's a nice man, he would smile at you, say "good morning", help you get your cat out of a tree, be helpful in any way he can, laugh at a joke... But it's all a farce, all forced. He feels non of it, not joy nor sadness, pain or pleasure, anger or forgiveness.
He's a blank slate designed to kill, and that's who he becomes when the mask is dropped. A weapon, a tool nothing more or less.
He doesn't even feel enough to hate what he's become, but he still does his best to do the right thing. He keeps the dead part of him hidden.

Biography
Little Christian is dead, he doesn't exist anymore... Did he ever exist?
If he did he lived a life of torture, trained to be a weapon rather than a child or a person, trained to kill for the client. The death of that child to be replaced by the man was a mercy, to put those young eyes to rest at last and be free of the death he caused and spared the horror he continued to perform for whoever signed the contract. Christian never forgot his name, but over time and over many names it became difficult to remember which was the original.
He was raised by and worked for a guild of assassins calling themselves "The Family", an organization that prided themselves on their born and bred emotionless killers. His parents might have been assassins as well, but they never made themselves known and he never cared.
Killing to complete the contract was all that mattered, and that's all he ever did.
Among the family, among an organization of killers, he was the most deadly, most effective, most efficient and most successful killer among them.
He was dubbed "The Phantom Rose", because of the calling card he left after every kill, an untraceable illusory image of a single black rose.
But in spite of all his training there was one thing they couldn't eliminate from him... His driving need for survival, indeed they didn't even realize that he held this ideal as he showed every sign of being willing to give his life at any given moment for his contracts.
Thus when a contract was posted on his head by an angry descendant of a man he killed, with enough coin to cover the loss of their best assassin, the family was shocked when he didn't kill himself right there, and they were even more shocked to find out that he had run away and left the family.
The originators of the family, those who still had emotion and led the family from the shadows, were angry. The contract remained on his head, assassins from his own family, and even assassins from other organizations were constantly hunting him from that day on.
He tried going freelance for a while, but it left a trail that his enemies could follow, so he made the logical decision to disappear, lay low, hide until he died of old age.
Any assassin that got too close was assassinated and he would move again. He earned the name "Assassin of Assassins" because of this. He covered his tracks and over time he completely vanished from the eyes of the underworld... Until now.
