Breyer Dorfaren
does the blood still run
where the river is young?
The Past
Born in Vel Redynne, named after the many waterways littering through this city that once was stained red (twice if historians are to be believed) due to the amount of Anirian blood spilled in the first wars. Now, it stands to be a home famous for the many historically preserved buildings and architecture of a forgotten time, and often visited due to it's close proximity to Vel Odren and is popular for services ferrying people between the two cities. The Dorfarens are an ancient House that has served and cared for this historic city, and although in the last century it has been recognised as a Vel city, Redynne has been a stronghold port in fighting in the border skirmishes between Vel Anir and Cortos for many years.
Breyer is the eldest child of the heir to the Dorfaren title, and comes from a long line of first born sons of the first born son. He has two younger sisters and two younger brothers, with him being the only magically adept Dorfaren since his great-uncle. The family magic has been waning over the years, but it was not magic that kept Vel Redynne upright all these years, but pure defensive architecture and strategy.
The Present
Having studied and survived in the Dreadlord Academy, he has now served one year as Dreadlord Dorfaren, Third Rank. Kept close to Vel Anir, he is often put on patrol within the city due to his family's inherited magic of Sealing Magic. This type of magic enables Breyer to enchant and imbue objects, people, and land much like rune work, without the intricacy of drawing the correct runic symbol. In his final year at the Academy, Brey specialised in defensive magic and created foolproof ways to alert others when danger was near, and implements the same practice across Vel Anir. The Future
Breyer is one of many Anirians embarking on an expedition to colonise a territory in the continent known as Malakath. This takes place 5 years into the future of the current timeline.
