For those of you who do not know me, I am known on site probably the best, as Erën. On Discord I am known as Offensive Bias.
You, if you like, can call me Jer.
After much work, and strife, and help from my fellow writers, I bring to you this:
My vision with this ecumene is to establish a group environment where collaboration and mutual respect are foundational. For my part, I have largely focused on the creation of the Aerai people, elves of a particular caste, history, and society, which is made manifest largely in The Sharyrdian Order. I have worked long and hard at developing this particular people, their particular ways, and as the front-runner of this project have, admittedly, reserved a place of... I won't say reverence, but nobility as far as their overall standing in this endeavour.
That is not to say that such a dynamic can't change.
While I have dedicated myself to this pursuit, and this avenue of it particularly, it is not my hope to establish an "Aerai Elves Only Club." I will of course advocate, pitch, encourage others to play as Aerai and to help me flesh them out even further as well, but what I would like to highlight with this advert is that this is not a necessity to become involved.
The overall plot of the group, at this time, is a deeply embroiled war. And, though there is a progression in mind, there is no current aim to change this setting in totality, only to allow it to evolve with player involvement. The War Board itself is designed as a mini game, intended to be written as in media res as to quickly facilitate character interaction and familiarity, but the War Board is meant to be just that - a mini game. A fun device in order to facilitate greater plots.
As the War Board is structured, the Aerai have called for aid throughout Arethil.
The Aerai are fighting dark, and terrible monsters. Very few would have their aid turned away, and as such, pretty much anyone is open to have their characters involved in some way.
Keeping this brief for the sake of the advert, in the history of Aeraesar it is written that there were a diverse people who lived here in the past, not only the Aerai. A current plot I am working on is the establishment of a place called Othronn, an underground sister city to the well established Sharyrdaes. There, a great variety of people dwell, and admittedly, many of these peoples could also dwell somewhere out in Aeraesar, and the Aerai simply do not know about it.
Whether you'd like to participate as an Aerai, which I would of course encourage, or bring your own flavour to the table, I am here to collaborate and make fun stories. I will of course always be willing to lend guidance and direction to anything you'd like to offer, and would more or less like to leave it with this.
