Tokudaiji sat in the small tavern, sipping from the broken cup he had been given by the barman. The wooden goblet was in poor shape, chipped on one sides with cracks running down its entire surface. The green liquid within constantly leaked through the cracks, and Tokudaiji had to regularly wipe his hand as the cups contents escaped. He supposed the cup was a good example of what Vel Anir had become in recent months. Broken, with the contents within leaking out and escaping. Turning in the chair he was in, Tokudaiji looked out the open side of the tavern at the shattered walls of the city in the distance, sipping quietly at the cup.

He had come to Vel Anir only recently, having travelled out from Fal'Addas to begin his exploration of the wider world. In terms of location, Vel Anir was probably a poor one for the half breed to visit. He elven features had been noted the moment he had entered the city, made worse by his decision to walk across the still smoldering ruins of the broken wall rather than waiting in the huge lines at the gates. He had still paid his dues to the city and the Noble Houses that grasped at power, so he did not see much a point to all the extra work. Looks of disgust and hatred had been thrown his way with every step he took, though the bow over one shoulder and the curved blade of his father at his hip discouraged any extracurricular activity to take place from those looks. Tokudaiji had enjoyed them to a certain degree, he had to be honest.

The barman slammed another cup onto the counter next to Tokudaiji, bringing the luminescent blue eyes away from the wall to glare down at the man. The rounded figure grumbled as he walked away, the prejudices of the city ingrained into his being to hate Tokudaiji for what he was, but not strong enough to reject the good coins that continued to flow from the half breeds pockets. It was commendable to see business never succumb to the whims of the people. At least most of the time. The other patrons in the tavern gave Tokudaiji similar looks, and he could only give them a half smile of contempt as he sipped from his new cup.

Despite his enjoyment from the looks the people were giving him, and reveling in their close minded beliefs, Tokudaiji had not come to Vel Anir for only that. He was tracking down leads to his ultimate foe, and he had reason to believe that he would have come to Vel Anir. It would have been decades ago, but Tokudaiji had to start his search somewhere. He had to find out why the man had done what he did to his mother, and be made to answer for it. the blade at his side, curved along its entire length and colored a light red sang for vengeance every time Tokudaiji drew it, and in time it would have it.

In time, his father would be made to answer to his son.

Reactions: Sung Chei
Sung Chei was a bit of an enigma. He was, in every sense, a monk, but at the same time he wasn't. At least not in the traditional sense. He didn't have a god to worship, but rather he followed a philosophy and code of conduct. His philosophy lead him to be peace-minded but it also frequently got him into fights.

His ji polearm was a weapon unlike any other seen on the two main continents, a spear with two outward facing crescent blades on either side and acting as axe blades. That plus his tigerskin vest and vambraces made him stick out like a sore thumb. His loose pants tucked into knee length boots giving him a great deal of freedom of movement, heck it didn't restrict movement at all.

Gel Anir was a hostile place for a lot of people. He being human made it easier, but even so he was foreign. And he came upon the inn with the ruined wall and thought to enter, sitting down next to the elf to await the bartender.
