Cynric looked surprised that she would even asked, an emotion that was clearly not faked. He had thought what he was doing was obvious.

"It's a childrens book." He explained finally. "One written by my great, great Grandmother."

The Nobleman had figured it would be the best to start with. There were depictions of events, and the words were small and short. Perfect for someone who did not know the common tongue. "I thought it might be the best place to start."

He told her.

"I can't well have you beginning with the histories of Alven." That bored even him to death.

She chuckled softly and a genuine smile crossed her features. "Well, I appreciate it, don't want to fall asleep during my first
lesson."

Ennui moved to take a seat at the table, trying her best to keep her excitement in check -- and failing miserably at the task.

Her gaze lingered eagerly on the book, as though it were some enticing dessert.
