"Lady Aristeia?"

Her gaze flicked upwards, returning to the present as Winry smiled at her patiently. "Sorry..." she winced.

"The carriage is about to arrive, will you require anything else before you leave the estate?" Winry asked, handing her a crimson robe that she immediately draped over her shoulders and fastened it by the clasp so it did not fall.

Aristeia smiled, appreciative of him assisting her and her sister. "That will be all. Thank you, Winry. I would not have recovered this quickly without your assistance." A credit. A true friend and confidante. Aristeia had few friends, and she was grateful for Winry's insistence in the days when she had been most unfair. "It is only a meeting with a Lord, but I intend to represent not only our people, but our faith in our gods. It is a holy day, after all. A Priestess gives blessings on such occasions."

The carriage slowed before her, but she did not move towards it. Not even Winry moved to help her inside. "Did you not mention it is a day to spend with family? If you would, I can organise dinner for you and your sister, perhaps even that husband to be..."

"Winry..." Aristeia clicked her tongue, smiling wider now. "My sister gave me sten. I shall be fine this day and control my hunger. It is only a meeting and then I promise I will be home, perfectly fine to have dinner on my own. Leave Lorelei to enjoy her privacy now before we are to find a new home."

He sighed but smiled, understanding that would be Aristeia's last request before she was to leave for the meeting. He had helped her into the carriage, bidding her adieu.

She had been ill too long now. Holding out her hunger to the point rare meat was no longer sufficient to her, Aristeia almost gave into her instincts but kept herself pure of bloodshed. She had been in the darkest pits of her mjnd in those days, not until her sister pulled her back with a guiding hand. Lorelei did not doubt her little sister when she had asked for a chance to help. A chance to understand what work needed to be done.

She was a Priestess, yes, but soon to be part of Lorelei's important legacy.

This meeting with a Lord was to see if he would be right to make an alliance and aide the Darke sisters into acquiring a new home. Aristeia did not know what to expect, truly, for she prefered to be on the fringes. This would be better suited to Lorelei, and yet Aristeia could not refuse her sister on this. Not after she had offered to be more helpful...

From one stately home, to another. The carriage drew past the gates of a family home she was not familiar with, but was relieved this meeting would be somewhere more quiet than meeting at a restaurant or inn.
