"What a funny pair of kids," he thought to himself. The ox mooed in agreement.
His eye looked down at the letter once more. Traced the elegant lines scrawled so neatly across the page, and he could see Lechies sitting at some desk flicking a magicked pen across the page. Her voice clear in his head. But then he remembered she was not a summoner, so what was an ethereal pen turned to a fine quill feather.
May the gods keep you always.
Lechies
It ended, and he looked up from the tiny piece of parchment, with the finely written letters. He wanted to squeeze it, not in a destroy it way, but a warm sort of way. But it was damaged enough. So, with a small smile across his lips, bitter sweet, he tucked the letter away with care, thought on what the young girl had said and laughed. A snap of the reins had the ox moo again, and the cart lurched forward and rolled on to the road ahead.
