The time has come. The Rising has begun.
Every year, those who dare enter the volcanic wilds beyond the city walls seek to claim their place among the Ascended, to forge a bond with a dragon—or die trying. The mountains are unforgiving, riddled with danger, where fire and ash are the least of the threats. This year’s entrants stand at the precipice, storm clouds rolling in overhead, knowing that more than half of them won’t make it out alive.
But the dangers of the Rising are not the only ones at play this year.
Beneath the city of Thanasis, something stirs. A tremor, deep and violent, splits the earth. And from the depths, shadows begin to rise…
Whether you are in the Rising or within the city walls, no one is safe. This thread is open to all Thanasis writers—riders, soldiers, and civilians alike. There will be danger, combat, and chaos. Will you fight? Will you flee? Will you survive?
