Completed Rebirth

Tzuriel watched as everything unfolded. So she wasn't a vampire before... But she is now... And he began to understand his purpose of being here in this dark sanctum.
At first his mind resisted, told him that he wanted no part of this and tried to futilely break free of the spell. But then Lenuta looked at him, her eyes changed and filled with so much pain and hunger. He realized then how truly pitiable vampires were and that's what he felt now... Pity for the beautiful and feral creature that now approached him.

He blinked and suddenly she was on him, pulling him down to her height and moving to his neck. His legs bent as she pulled him down with such strength and force that nearly gave him whiplash. Then she bit him, hard. He felt her fangs slide into his neck without resistance, but he also felt the power in her jaw forcing into him. That pain and shock forced him free of the spell and he grunted. He felt the wound in his neck pumping blood into her mouth and was already becoming a little lightheaded as she fed hungrily from him. But for some reason... He didn't stop her. He didn't know why, but instead of attempting to push her away he cupped the back of her head, sliding his hands through her beautiful pure ebony locks as he held her head close to his neck while she fed. His other hand came up and hugged her body to him.
Darkness began to rim his vision and he could hear his own heartbeat trying to keep up, pumping faster and faster to replace what was being actively taken.

Holding her tenderly and close he whispered her name, "... Lenuta…"
His hands became numb and his brain struggled from lack of blood being delivered. But it was at that point when Lenuta finally released him, struggling against her hunger but managing to keep it under control as the blackness drained from her veins. His legs gave out from under him and he fell against the stone stairs that led up to the alter. he sat on the floor gasping as he leaned against the steps.

He had never been so close to death in his life... But he never imagined that his death could come so peacefully as when Lenuta fed on him. The attendant applied the healing salve which closed the wounds, but he didn't seem to notice. His lips had gone almost blue and his skin was pale. And he simply stared at Lenuta, he held no judgement in his eyes for her. In fact all he could manage was the simple act of looking at her without passing out, but he could feel that coming soon. He lay against the stone steps, his body desperately exhausted, wanting him to sleep while it tried to heal. But he held on to look at Lenuta, even more beautiful and rare than before, like a white lotus flower of the far eastern lands.

Her jaw had become a vice on his neck, draining him of his precious blood to sate her own conceited hunger. Yet he did not struggle or fight. His arms encasing her disfigured form, pulling her deathly chill closer. His voice had barely registered to her, the sound of his heartbeat sweeter than any other sound.

His obsession ran deep. It had been mere hours since he had first glimpsed her atop the stairs of the ballroom, and already he was willing to sacrifice his very life for this girl who would outlive him for centuries. Never aging. Immortal. She had been human when he had swept her away, her heart beating warm blood through now-vacant veins. Now she was something more. Something better. The smile she showed him was wicked, her form crouching down to his level, index finger trailing across the structure of his jaw.

"Thank you." Her words were sincere, yet the look she had for him had changed.

A hand placed on the bare of her frigid shoulder, her head tilting to look upwards at her father's proud face. Her smile displayed her new canines, Tzuriel's blood staining her pallid flesh. An ebony cloth was handed off to her, allowing her to wipe away the sticky liquid. Some of it had already dried, refusing to absorb away and remaining clinging around her mouth, chin, and neck. She tucked the cloth away, turning towards the rest of the vampires with an air of superiority.

"Victor, make sure our guest is well kept for the night. I will be returning to my celebration."

There was no final look or word as her back turned on the merchant who had gifted her his blood to offer her eternal life. Her hair was loosened to fall lengthy down her back, the light of the open doorway lining her silhouette while Victor grasped Tzuriel's arm, wrapping it over his own shoulder to lift the weakened man to his feet and lead him off towards a lonely room. It maintained the extravaganze of the rest of the mansion, the bedding ridiculously soft under his weight as his limp body was placed into it.

Once she released him her look had changed... More alien, yes, but also more detached. He couldn't fully understand it and he still had so many questions, but she was a predator now... And the way she looked at him was different from the mortal Lenuta.
Her mannerism seemed to have changed... Or maybe she was always like this and played him for the fool. She was in command, superior... And slowly fading from his sight.

His heart beat slowed and darkness began to descend over his vision. The man... or vampire, Victor lifted him off the steps and half carried the barely conscious merchant to the indicated room where he was left laying on the soft bed. He sunk into the pillow and blankets and finally passed out as his body attempted to replenish what he lost.
With his last conscious thought he wondered why he found himself in this situation... But he suspected a spell, not one based in magic, was placed on him the minute he saw Lenuta on those steps.

He slept dreamlessly while his body tried to heal without any nourishment to replenish his loss. Consequently his blood pressure dropped considerably after that single feeding and his blood replenished in his body very slowly. He probably should have eaten something before or during the party, but all he had was one drink which of course wouldn't do anything for his current health.
But all things considered, he was durable and wasn't in any danger. He slept, and when he would awaken he would find himself very tired and considerably weaker.

But for now and until someone came for him, he slept.
