Rin shouldered the leather saddlebags as she left the dormitories, her dual blades strapped to her sides. She'd been summoned to go on a training exercise with Syr Galvanhad. She was eager for this lesson as she knew the Knight was a Pursuant of Life and she wished to have more practice in healing. She'd learned through her years within the Monastery the particulars of healing, but she was no Pursuant so there was always more that she could learn.

The squire headed to the stable next to ready a horse. While she didn't have a horse that was her own, she did have her favorite. A mouse grey gelding named Ghost. If he was available, she always made a point to take him as her mount on missions. If they were both at the Monastery, she made sure to come clean his stable if it was needed or at the very least to bring him a treat. Rin grabbed a saddle from the spares and went toward Ghost's stable.

"Want to go with me on this mission?" She said speaking gently to the horse as she moved into the space. She was greeted with an neigh and an affectionate bump of the head causing her to chuckle. She reached into her pocket and pulled out an apple to give to him to enjoy.

While the horse munched on his treat, she went to work saddling him. It was quick and practiced work, but she made sure to double check the straps to make sure everything was tight. She'd fallen once as a young page because she'd forgotten to check. She never made that mistake again. Now that Ghost was saddled, the squire led him out of the stables and toward the main entrance to the Monastery where she'd been instructed to meet with the Knight Pursuant. She knew they would be traveling north from the Monastery to go check on a small village up there. The village was poor, but she knew they often traded young horses to the Knights that they could train in return for whatever services that they could provide.

Reactions: Syr Galvanhad
Galvanhad had awoke early, prepared as usual, and with a slightly heavy heart, left charge of the Squires, with Dorn. He trusted his counterparts ability and his intent, it was some of the nearsighted who missed the point behind his lessons. He was sure he would be hearing about it from them upon his return.

Why was he leaving? Squire Fyldirae, one he had trained for many years now, was preparing for the path to being Sworn. It was now his duty to get her prepared for her upcoming test. Like him, she basked fully in the Life, and sought to bring healing and miracles to her kin.

He reached the gate where Ugluk stood vigilant, ever the first for any member to see upon entry or the last to be seen upon their exit. The Orc knight towered over most and held a love for the Order that had become his home. "Ugluk, how are things looking today?"

"Young Fyldirae prepares to take her trials." The elder knight said proudly. "We shall ride north and see what transpires."

Coming to a stop, Galvanhad paused to lift a boot into the stirrup and with Ugluk stepping forward to help, hefted himself up and into the saddle. Did he need the help? No. But he would be remiss to chastise the young Orc for helping an elder member. Instead, he offered the Orcish gatekeeper a pat on the pauldron and an appreciative smile.

Hoofclops sounded behind them and with a twist in his saddle, the old trainer offered the squire one of his usual warm smiles. "Ah, Squire Fyldirae. You now step upon your final path before knighthood. Are you ready?"

Beside him, Ugluk crossed his arms. "Good luck, little one. And congratulations. Learn all you can."
