Hey there, I'm a newbie. My name on the Discord is Nameless, and I'm looking for a warmup/kickstart thread since it's been a while since I did forum rps.

The premise I had in mind is simple, Alteria Eos is looking for one or two able-bodied adventurer types to come with him to a ruin that's rumored to be recently haunted. He's only interested in magical objects, so anything else valuable they find, his escorts can keep.

I'm also taking suggestions on where the best place for something like this to take place since I haven't familiarized myself with the locations yet.



P.S. I swear I don't bite.

Anything unenchanted of monetary value can be kept you say? Azlat would ceartainly fit, she'd only be interested in the gold after all.

And ruins could be anywhere, really. Lots of old stuff lost to time waiting to be found. Preferably not Malakath tho; Azlat would rather steal stuff farther from home :)
 
I'm a newbie too, and I think Aeden would love to come along- he's a collector and would definitely be interested in the sort of curiosities that haunted ruins might yield. Plus, he's usually up for an adventure. I'm not sure what the best place for ruins would be, but Aeden's staying in Alliria right now, so anywhere near the city would be easiest for them to access :)
 
I'd be happy to have you both ^^

We can have the ruins be somewhere about a day or two away from Alliria then. We can start as they're entering the ruin or play out how they met, either works. Alteria would solicit their help either by meeting them on the road or in a tavern in the city, as most stories start out.

That setup totally works for me. Any potential for riches serves strong motivation for Azlat to join up
 
I love the setup! I'd prefer to play out their meeting. Aeden would be motivated to join by the promise of an adventure and the possibility of finding any interesting items
 
Great! So I think the tavern will be the easier way to set things up, right?

If you guys are alright with that, then I'll get the starter up as soon as I can.

Well the more the merrier! Alteria isn't picky about his exploration buddies so long as they don't bicker too much, so either of these three will work fine. Feel free to join the thread!
 
Sounds interesting. Count me in. Dauner would be more than pleased to join in on the fun.
To Dauner, the adventure is it's own reward. But a heavy pouch never hurt anyone, heh.
 
There's already 4 people on the thread, so it's going to be a little crowded, but if you're alright with that, then feel free to jump in anytime. Don't worry though since I'll probably look to make a similar thread in the future if you decide not to join this one.

I should also probably mark this as completed or something.
