Entering, the sounds that met the two was those of merriment and overlapping conversation. The inn was , apparently, also the public house. One could drink their pints, eat a meal, than sleep it off. Not that there were too many people being rowdy with all the drink, but enough to create a din of joviality and lighthearted frivolity.
A passing glance she gave the pub on their right. Ynsidia concerned herself with the stairs on their left that led up to the rooms. The counter was centered between both, and Ynsidia marched right up to it, a kindly woman of middle age behind the counter regarding her with a smile.
"You look a bit like my daughter," she started with a cultured voice.
"Hay in hair and clothes that look like they were run through the woods."
Ynsidia groaned, and laid her bag of coin on the counter.
"I'd wager she's far more responsible and less reckless than I, though; two rooms if you have them. One for me, and one for my travel guide."
The woman, who'd been eyeing Thomas suspiciously for coming in with Ynsidia, softened her expression. She issued an "ah", and nodded.
"You do look a bit foreign, dear..."
"You have no idea..."
"Sorry?"
"Oh, nothing. Two rooms, and I get the bigger one with a window."
The woman nodded again, and produced two much loved keys, handing the more fancy looking one to Ynsidia.
"One suite for you, dear, and the discounted room for your guide."
Ynsidia took the key and paid the appropriate coin that was asked for.
"I need a name, dear..."
"Elveszett."
Keys in hand, and a name down on parchment, the two were set for some much needed rest.
"Sleep well Thomas, or..."
And flicked him a gold coin.
"Enjoy the pub, then sleep well."
