"Aww beenz!"
Muckbar had been in Shay Tirloc all of five days before desperation and opportunity conspired to make him try to steal again. The City had been slowly coming back to life in the wake of the battle and Muckbar, ever the opportunist had taken refuge among the waste to pick over ruins but he ran out of food a day and a half ago so he took some from the barracks, one of the only places the supply was unbroken.
"You think you can steal from me?"
The tall Dark-elf held him up in the alley intent on making him pay greatly for his failure to relieve her of a few measley morsels.
"Naw, it washn't mee. I shaw the guy he, he went thaat way!"
The lie earned him a cuff on the back of the head.
"He did, I shaw him honesht!"
The second lie ended with him face down on the flagstones with a boot on his back.
Muckbar made a sound so pathetic it bordered on infuriating as he tried to get up and failed under the weight. The dark-elf woman leaned on him and he fell down hard.
"AGH! I'm shorry, I'm shorry, I'll give eet baack, I shwear! I promish! Pleashe..."
The axe blade glinted in the amber lantern light before his weeping eyes.
"NOOOOO, PLEASHE, I'LL PAY IT BACK, I WILL, I'LL PAY IT BACK I SHWEAR! PLEASHE NO...!"
