Ysvain Urahil

Biography
Early life
Born to an Urahil father, Ysvain was official one of the Urahils since birth. His early childhood was one of comfort. He began receiving a private education as soon as he could - learning how to read and write, perform basic arithmetic, and learning of the cultures and arts.
At a young age, Ysvain's magical abilities were discovered and he began his time at the Academy as an Initiate. There, he developed his martial and magical skills and managed to survive life in the Academy until the revolution swept through Anirian lands.
Nearing the last couple years of his time in the Academy, Ysvain hoped to begin making his mark in the world.

Personality and traits
Since he could read, Ysvain loved the fabled stories of heroes long gone. From the embellished tales of King Ciniria, to the epic quest of Crusader Pelinal, to even many more. Being of high birth as well, he found the chivalric language embodied in these texts to be an ideal to aim for and achieve.
As a result, Ysvain appears to be respectful to the weak - though sometimes to the point of unintentional patronizing. He has a deep love for Anirian culture and life and loyalty to House Urahil. He views it as his duty to face his foes without honor and never turn away from them. He has expressed a disdain for lies and to go against his word. And he believes all of this is necessary for the divine powers that protect and guide Vel Anir to continue to do so for centuries.
Because of this, those with hardened personalities would call Ysvain childish and naive.

Powers and abilities
In the Academy, Ysvain developed a taste for the long sword - at least with it being seen as the knightly weapon. His skills are further augmented by his magic. Sometimes, he casts an electrical cloak over his sword that can shock his foes even when his sword is blocked. He can even cast magic similar to a typical lightning bolt.
These skills have at least kept him alive and competetive in the Acadmey.
