Fate - First Reply The Sanctuary

The Caretaker chuckled. "That's not how this works. If you already know it, then why are you asking me?" The Caretaker smiled at the Orc over his shoulder as he chiseled the picture more. "And you're quite right, no power comes without cost - this time, it's just not monetary. You know as well...

Fate - First Reply The Sanctuary

A humongous circular, domed, stone building with the entire history of this world and many others chiseled on it's walls and ceiling. There is a great deal of empty space, however, for telling stories that are to come. The Caretaker lives here, a friendly soul who guards and cleans The...

“Go into yourself. Find out the reason that commands you to write; see whether it has spread its roots into the very depths of your heart; confess to yourself whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write. This most of all: ask yourself in the most silent hour of your night: must...

Remember: the love of gaming is not limited to what you play. A four-year old playing Mario, an eleven-year-old playing Fortnite, a twenty-year old playing Cyberpunk, and an 80 year old playing Minecraft all should be as equal as their respective love for games. It's the same with writing. We...

    Discussion Armour armour armour

Yes, this is true, but being a Ninja can also refer to a practicioner of Ninjitsu, or Nin-po, which was created as a method of survival during a period of religious oppression. I was not saying they were sworn enemies, I was merely comparing the two - one who wore armor, and one who rarely did...

That was exactly my point at the end, thank you. As I said, I'm not telling anyone how to write, I'm just saying that realistically it would be horribly impractical. If you, like you say, you 'stretch your suspension of disbelief to tell a good story' - I have absolutely no problem with that.

Threadmarks: The Historical and Practical Accuracy of Wearing a Sword on your Back

All right, this is kind of annoying me. Why, please, tell me, why, would anyone wear a sword on their back? Any four-year-old who stuck a stick in the back of their shirt knows that it's horribly hard to get it out in time to do anything with it, and that's with a frickin' curved stick - It...

    Discussion Armour armour armour

Heavy Armour tends to be slow and clunky, brute-forcing through blows and strikes, but very, very prone to unbalancing. (History Lesson: The Ninja of feudal japan knew this and would use it to take advantage of Samurai, who wore armor, very frequently.) I think I and my characters like to have...

    Private Tales The Sanctuary

Once the door was open, there was no stopping it. The Darkness inside seemed to suck everything in, reality itself folding, twisting, writhing, collapsing, into the dark expanse of... Nothing. Hurtling through nothing, maybe, maybe this wasn't such a good idea. As you shoot through the darkness...

    A Game of Riddles

Here's the premise: I'll start with a riddle. Person A answers the riddle (correctly), and then posts one of their own. Person B answers the riddle (correctly) from person A, then posts one of their own. etc, etc. The riddle doesn't need to rhyme (How tf are you supposed to spell that word...
