Skirde Vulilf
Skirde Vulilf is a shifty maritime guide operating on the northeastern coast of Epressa. While he prefers to avoid unnecessary conflicts, he is capable of defending himself using a pair of handaxes, a longbow, and his bulky leather armor.
Appearance
Skirde has an appearance befitting an experienced sailor of the dangerous coastlines away from Epressa. He is taller and more muscular than the average person, though not extraordinarily so. His long and dark hair is always messy and becomes increasingly unkempt as he spends more time between ports. He usually has an expression that others would describe as nervous, complete with narrowed eyes and a frown.
Skills and Abilities
- Fighting (3/5, Intermediate): While less skilled than a professional soldier, Skirde has a small amount of experience fighting raiders and wild animals, making him notably more dangerous than the average person. However, he would likely struggle against a truly skilled combatant or a monstrous beast.
- Survival (3/5, Intermediate): Skirde is used to living long periods in desolate environments far from civilization and generally knows how to keep himself and a small number of other people alive, but most of his experience is on the water and he is less comfortable on land.
- Perception (2/5, Capable): In certain situations, Skirde knows how to quickly spot something out of the ordinary, such as an animal to hunt or a ship on the distant horizon. However, he is easily overwhelmed in unfamiliar environments, such as a city or an underground cave system.
- Nature (2/5, Capable): As a fairly experienced survivalist, Skirde has also learned about the natural world. However, this knowledge is also mostly linked to the sea and he is far more capable of describing the differences between various fish species than he is the animals on the coastlines.

Personality
While not afraid of taking certain risks, Skirde is a nervous man who tends to dwell on negatives. He is not a notably cowardly person and will hold his own as necessary, but he prefers to keep his distance from danger. He is protective of people he feels responsible for, such as any clients who hire him, and will put himself into reasonably dangerous situations to help them as needed, but he is less likely to jump into a situation that would more likely end in his death. He is weary of those stronger than himself and makes little effort to hide his skepticism. He has a habit of talking fast and fidgeting with his hands, which can lead to him appearing shifty.
