Magical Abilities
- Camouflage - She can literally disappear into her surroundings. Unless someone has some sort of magical sight, Raena is completely invisible. She can move and come in contact with no worry of reappearance. If she has problems concentrating for whatever reason or if she gets stabbed (for example), she may lose her camouflage. She can camouflage objects that are on her body or that she is holding but she cannot camouflage other living beings.
- Magical Sight - A lesser-known ability to her camouflage, she can see through magical glamours and disguises. She keeps this relatively secret to use to her own advantage. She can also see when a person has magic and if it is being used. Sometimes she can tell what the magic is but she is still working on honing that skill.
Non-Magical Skills
- Melee - She prefers daggers to swords but she is deadly with either.
- Stealth - Her magic lends itself to stealth so beyond her camouflaging ability, she has learned how to pick locks, scale walls, erase/destroy evidence of intrusion, walk silently, and more.
Personality
Raena has collected many secrets over the years and she has never told a soul. She knows one day she may need the leverage she holds. Some might think that makes her a bad person but she just knows how people work. Everyone is out for themselves. Obviously, this belief makes her slow to trust others.
She can be quiet but she is not always quiet. She tends to take everything in before commenting on it. Once Raena starts to talk and open up to someone, she will never be quiet again. That is an exaggeration, of course, but still.
She does know how to have fun even if there are not a lot of fun opportunities in her life. She has been known to mess with people using her camouflage. It was something she did at a younger age until she did it to the wrong person and got a few new scars for her trouble.
She also enjoys writing in her spare time.

Biography & Lore
Raena lived a pleasant life for the first seven years. It was her mother, her father, her slightly younger sister, and herself. She thought everything was great until one night when an assassin broke into their home. Raena and her sister shared a bed but she couldn't get her to wake up. She hid in the corner of the room and prayed that she wouldn't be seen. It was the first time she had used her power and she had no idea until later that she had done that.
Her family was savagely murdered and she was not discovered for several days when the Guard came to check on her family. They found the three dead and she flickered into existence out of pure exhaustion, terror, and hunger once the Guard had arrived. They immediately whisked her away to the Dreadlord Academy.
Before she left, she managed to sneak into her parents room and grab a large bag that she had always seen her mother put things into. It was almost bigger than she was but she managed to camouflage it and bring it into the Academy with her. She hid it in her closet and forgot about it.
It sat untouched in her closet for five years during which she grew, was tortured, watched classmates get murdered, tried to survive, and learned how to control her unique magic.
It was during her twelve year of life that she finally opened the bag.
What she found there would change her life forever.
This bag held everything her mother held dear and everything she used to blackmail Raena's real biological father. Obviously, she did not know that the man who had raised her was not her actual father and she did not know about the hard financial times that her parents had fallen on either. When her parents had lost their jobs, her mother had decided it would be a wise idea to reach out to the Lord that had helped create Raena demanding support for his daughter or else.
It was two weeks after the last entry into the notes that her family was murdered. She could only assume the Lord - her real father - had not taken kindly to the threats and he had sent an assassin. They probably did not know about her younger sister and believed that they had killed the Lords bastard daughter.
They had not and now Raena was determined to take the Lord and his entire House down.
Shortly after this revelation, Raena had gotten in trouble for supposedly lying to Proctor Harkenov. She had not lied but she had also not told the entire truth. Harkenov took Raena for punishment and the girl was not seen again for almost two days. Harkenov tore into her mind and riffled through every memory and every secret that Raena had. In the end, Harkenov was more than satisfied with what she found and satisfied that Raena survived with little permanent damage.
The Proctor had plans for this Initiate.
