Appearance

Klor Is a tall, pale man. His face under his mask is smooth and noble but grim and spiritless, even with his blue eyes he has a dark and penetrating gaze. His hair is shoulder length and again smooth. His body is lean and athletic without any trace of excess fat, on the verge of appearing emaciated but very much the opposite in actuality.

He dresses in black clothing, a leather banded fighting outfit with a black cloak and chains wrapped about him in various places. He wears a white ceramic mask of grim expression giving him an inhuman look and also generally keeps his hood up. All in all he has the appearance of the well groomed and cleaned up funeral corpse.

Skills, Traits and Weaknesses

Fighter: He is skilled in the use of swords, polearms, bows, and daggers.

Photographic Memory: He has an immense capacity for knowledge and memory. He applies this to his magical abilities.

Arcane Secrets: His talent for magic and casting complex and powerful spells is only surpassed by his immense knowledge of arcane topics and command of magical trivia and advanced fields of study.
Limit Breaker: For him magic is like a muscle that he is able to exercise, and it is very strong. Even when it seems his magic is exhausted, he is always able to generate more, though at a great cost.

Magic Battery: His unique ability with magic allows him to act as a veritable magical battery to fuel the spells of others besides his own, though at a great cost.

The Power of the Dead: His magic is predominantly focused on the art of animating corpses and wielding the powers of life and death, as well as the magics of shadow, negative and null energy that fuel the profane arts of undeath and death dealing magics.
The Great Cost: While he seems to have an inexhaustible well of magic, it will eventually run out if he goes too long without rest, but when that happens and he finds he does not have enough stored magic for a spell, he can still cast it, but the spell will take the power out of his flesh. He can continue to sacrifice his flesh and blood and ultimately be reduced to only a skeleton and still be able to be restored when he rests, however, if he goes beyond that and sacrifices his bones till nothing remains, he will not be able to regenerate.
While he is temporarily free of his flesh, he is also temporarily free from his physical infirmities, a small taste of his ultimate goal.

Hemophilia: While he is very durable and strong he heals slowly from natural wounds and tends to bleed a lot from small cuts and bruises easily. His constitution is weaker in general, and his physical frailty extends to his immune system. His physical ailments have ultimately led to his study of undeath and his desire to achieve lichdom to one day overcome his mortal needs.

Personality

Klor is a cold and intimidating man. This is done on purpose to keep other people at a distance, mostly for their sakes but he also really does have a hatred for people of any class or race, but if they can be of use to him or provide some sort of value that he can use, he won't hesitate to use them to his advantage. The only thing he respects are strength and power, but if he cannot find such people, he will settle for those who are silent.

He actually prefers companions that do not speak or contradict his orders, so he is fond of necromancy and similar summoning magic. He hates explaining himself, so he would prefer to remain silent and let things spin out of control so he can end a situation with a fight and be done with it. So much of his life is wrapped up in darkness and black magic, he doesn't think he needs the light, but who knows?

His views of the world are very clear cut and dry, everyone has a role in this play if life, and he knows he plays the part of the villain.

Biography & Lore

Klor Bishop isn't his given name. He was born to parents who did not care for him and left him on a doorstep to adoptive parents who hated him and focused on their own son, forcing him to slave away in their stead.
He decided that he would learn what he could with what little free time he had, stealing textbooks and learning material from his adoptive brother and then returning them before anyone could find out, he would practice what he learned with people he met when he went out on errands.
In this way he taught himself to read and write and found he loved books, so he began stealing books from around the house to read them in the privacy of his little closet-room and filled his head with knowledge and stories.

Ever since he could remember he held several personality quarks, one was a morbid fascination with corpses of dead things, the other was a love of poetry and books.

One day his adoptive family learned of his little thefts around the house and began beating him within an inch of his life and threatening to bring the guards down on him to be thrown in jail.
His head filled with heroic tales and great men who stood up for what was right, he arose against them in righteous anger and in that moment learned that he was blessed with inherit magical ability, an explosion of magical power which set the house ablaze, that was the straw that broke the camels back and they swore vengeance on him... A threat that was quickly followed up by the city guards who attempted to seize him but again he felt anger at the injustice that was his whole life that HE was about to pay for when it was THEY who had done wrong and done acts of evil against him.
So he made them pay for their evil, his adoptive family, and the city guards who payed no heed to his words of reason and explanation, were killed on the spot.

Killing them gave him a rush and he smiled at what he had done, but was quickly snapped out of it when innocent bystanders screamed and shouted angrily at him, calling for more guards.
He killed them too.
Stories of great witch hunts and tragic tales came to his mind and he knew that he must leave or die...
As the reinforcements began to arrive he fled through the city heading straight for the gate to the wilderness beyond, but news traveled faster than he did and he found the gates closed and guards waiting for him, without stopping he burned through the guards and the iron gate itself and charged out to freedom.

He left the city and went into the woods, of course he was ill prepared for the journey and he had nowhere to go, but he fell into the care of an old hag living alone in the woods.
She took him in and was kindly at first, but soon took to working him like a slave again, and when he tried to leave she cursed him with magic so he couldn't. So he spent his days working, watching, and waiting.
By watching and listening to the old woman work her spells, he learned new spells himself and even figured out how to craft new ones, but the first one he made was the counter to the curse he was under.
After burning down the witches home and defeating her in a magical duel, he went off on his own again. He had spent two years with the witch, a little older and a little wiser and was able to shape some sort of existence outside of civilization, only visiting towns or villages when necessary and using his magic to help him survive.

Over the course of his life he learned the ways of necromancy, and that was the art he clung to even now.
