Keernan was just twenty two when he died. He escaped the pack of ravenous wolves that had chased him for miles, but in the end he collapsed from exhaustion and started to pass on.

A fresh elemental spirit crossed his body. It was fresh into the world of Arethil and had not yet taken its form. It was curious, but foolish. It was drawn in too close. Pulled by the current of a soul leaving this world.

Keernan was brought back to life. The elemental spirit fusing with the half of himself that had not yet gone.

He remembered his name and little else. He was forever changed. The loss of his memories and the changing colour of one eye were the least of the differences. The aspects of the spirit lived on, making him endlessly curious and prone to bouts of raw emotion. He would forever be slight apart from the mortal world, confused by the workings of society.

Keernan became an elemental shifter, able to draw on several aspects. He can shift into something close to a water, magma or forest elemental.
