Skills and Abilities
Oxidation: Grendel has the ability to dissolve almost any metal to corroded dust with a touch.
Rust created in this way can be manipulated by him to move, form shapes and even fly through the air.
Family Business: As a member of House Strand, Grendel is trained in tactics and weapons, specifically focused on urban combat, riot control and siege and capture.
Brute: Grendel is large and strong, though loathe to fight he has been taught to strike first if he can and strike hard so as to put down future opposition.
Killer: Grendel has killed before. In the Revolution he was attached to a unit of Monarchist forces where his abilities helped him to gain some notoriety. After House Sirl allied itself with the New Republic he and most of the forces of house Strand were absolved under the Loyalties Act.
Vengeful: Grendel is pained by the shaming of his house and death of his elder brother Nordhem who met his end during the Rebellion while attempting to quell unrest in the Elf Quarter. Grendel, who already did not think highly of Elfs, now despises them and makes no bones about who he blames for his brother's death.
