Appearance

Like all elves Galorion is beautiful by nearly every standard. His skin is fair and flawless, his silvery hair smooth and glossy, his body athletic and perfectly proportioned, his face regal and composed. His ears are not overly long, but poke out from behind his shoulder length hair.

He has a face prone to smiling and laughter.

He dresses in whites, silvers, light blues, and forest colors depending on the occasion.

Skills, Traits & Weaknesses

Elvish Steps: His skill with a blade is like magic to behold, a deadly dance with a blade that seems to flicker and flash with each movement, every cut is precise and powerful, sometimes seeming to cut without even touching anything.

Sharpshooter: He's a master of the bow, his accuracy can hit the wings off of a fly, and the power of his shot can pierce shields and plate armor.

Tumbler: Terms such as "up" and "down" don't seem to have any meaning to him when he starts moving. He has the skill of a professional acrobat and almost literally the grace of a cat.

Fey Touched: He's able to tap into the magic of the fey, allowing him various and mysterious magical abilities from healing to shooting fire from his fingers.

Personality

On the surface he's a gently kind person with an air of calm and easy authority.
He's cheerful but far from overbearing, maybe even a bit reserved and cautious about getting close to people.

Beneath the surface he's arrogant and imperialistic with a cold dash of pride in his nobility, rank, and position. He's host to a plethora of contradicting beliefs, conflicting emotions, and learned behaviors shaped by a long and hard past.

Xenophobia and racism against non-elven races plays a big role in his behaviors towards others, though he seems to tolerate a few individuals and those races who've historically not been in conflict with elven kind.
He seems to tolerate humans, even seeing a few of them as admirable, but closer examination reveals this admiration to be likened with a judge examining a champion racing hound or prize bull... To him, humans, especially children, rate higher as a more attractive level of animal as opposed to orcs or dwarves.

Biography

Galorion has lived for many millennia, one of the long lived of his race he has the memories of the past and present preserved in his head, of times long past and predictions for what is to come.
Throughout his life he held the burden of responsibility on his shoulders, for his family and household and ultimately the protection of the Falwood.

Lore

Family History

During the first ages when civilizations were first popping up and wars were rampant throughout Arethil, Galorion's grandfather was a warrior and a scholar. He followed the elf king at the time in the defense of the Falwood from the orc invaders. He was a prominent elf with a wife and child. He was only a foot soldier at the time, but during the opening battles for the Falwood he fought in the defense of their border village and survived the brutal battle that lasted for an entire year.

In the intervening years he fought in several wars, rising high in the ranks till he led many elves and had won much prestige for himself which allowed him to establish his family in elvish society.
During this time there were many battles and wars but there were also wars occuring among their own kind. The elf king was slain in battle and there was chaos in which Galorion's grandfather was embroiled, but he managed to escape the backstabbing and power grabbing and soon a new king came forward.

During this period of racial unrest the orcs pressed their invasion of the Falwood and took many lands which the elves had to sacrifice more blood to reclaim.
Galorion's grandfather led several of the campaigns in the reclaiming of those provinces.
And during his final campaign he was finally struck down in single combat with the orcish Warlord.

Galorion's grandfather was slain, but his family was firmly established as Vassels of nobility. They possess a manor in Fal'Addas with accompanying staff. This was the springboard that launched Galorion's father into his own greatness.
During the years of the second elf king, Galorion's father came of age and took up the office and position of his late father.
With the coronation of the elf king and after the war with the orcs there came civil unrest and many rebels struck out in protest of the new king, these rebellions are what Galorion's father used to prove himself fit for his position, by aiding in putting down these insurrectionists.

Now firmly placed as the representative of his house he set about increasing their power and influence, becoming favored among the people and building good repute with the other Lords and the king himself.
But as this was the time of war, he couldn't avoid the battlefield. The human kings began encroaching on elven lands and performing raids against them, so once more the Falwood went to war.
And a bloody war it was, the elves won, but with such losses that none could think of celebration. Galorion's father survived, but grief and death hung heavy over the Falwood in that age.

Two years of uneasy peace followed, broken only by minor skirmishes between elf and human. During these years Galorion's father served Garrison duty at the Falwood's border towns, but that uneasy peace could only last for so long.
When the humans came with even greater strength enough to surprise the elf king, even though the elves were victorious again it was a hard won victory.

The humans invaded off and on, during this time Galorion's father continued to defend the borders. By now the Svayellen family had risen quite high in Fal'Addas and very influential. They had wealth, a private army, trade, business, practically owned their own province as gifted to them by the elf king.
But now, the humans were growing desperate and mounted a final massive invasion meant to strike right at the heart of the Falwood and kill the elf king.
The king stripped his land of Garrisons to meet this threat. This was the largest battle ever fought in the Falwood. The elf king won again, exterminating the hostile humans, though decimating his own armies in the process.

Galorion's father died in that great battle with great glory, holding a sword in his hand with scores of slain enemies around him.
He left his entire house, holdings, and all of his possessions to his son Galorion Svayellen.
