A warrior-bard from a hardy race from the icy reaches of the Eretejva Tundra and member of a proud clan of wolf-riders, Frazil has set off from her homeland on a quest to find one of the famed lost heroes of the ísflöguryn.

Appearance

To most other races, Frazil is a diminutive creature at just under 4 feet tall, but in fact she is fully aware that among her race, she is considered unusually tall. Her features are feral, reminiscent of something between a stocky halfling and some kind of goblin. Her hair is as white as the snowy lands she hails from, her eyes as blue as the arctic sky, and like others of her race, the sclera of her eyes has a slight blue cast to them as well. She has sharply pointed ears.

She favors the leather and fur armor of her people, though she forgoes most of the furs outside of her native landscape for the sake of some measure of comfort. She always wears a pair of bracers featuring gemstones with a swirling blue coloration that appears to swirl inside them.

Her winter wolf, Sastriga, is a beast that stands nearly as tall as Frazil. She has coarse, white fur and grey eyes. She dons a set of leather barding enlaid with a gem like those on Frazil's bracers.

Skills and Abilities

- Eldifryst-enchanted bracers: These bracers protect Frazil and her wolf from the intolerable heat beyond the arctic tundra.

- Wolf and rider: Frazil is a skilled wolf-rider of her clan, trained to fight both on the ground and on her mount. As a team, Frazil and Sastriga can coordinate attacks and defense.

- Intelligent Mount: Winter wolves are moderately intelligent creatures that partner with some ísflöguryn clans in return for fresh meat and shelter. While fierce, they have some ability to strategize an attack and form bonds of kinship both with other wolves and ísflöguryn.

- Axe and shield proficiency (advanced)

- Rime weapon: Frazil's axe carries an enchantment that makes the edge able to freeze what it cuts through.

- Archery proficiency (trained)

- Musical instrument proficiency (beginner to trained - lute, drum, and bagpipes)

- Amateur Skald: Frazil has begun training in the bardic arts held sacred by her people, particularly the hermaður (warrior) caste. She can invoke the power of music to inspire bravery and strength in her comrades, and intimidate her enemies.

- hálfuryn legacy: While she doesn't yet know about it, her mixed ancestry may play a part in her future.

- ísflöguryn cold hardiness/fire vulnerability: As all of her race, Frazil is extremely resistant to both mundane and magical sources of cold and ice. Conversely, she is vulnerable to fire and intolerant of volcanic or tropical heat. (She has a higher resistance to heat and fire due to the protection afforded by her bracers, to a point)

- Wilderness survival (trained - most environments; advanced - arctic)

- illiterate: the only lettering available to her caste is pictures and runes, which she isn't likely to encounter beyond her homeland

Personality

Frazil delights in the small pleasures in life... those being drinking, brawling, a bawdy tavern song and a newly-bathed winter wolf to sleep on at the end of the day. Some would say she is like an orc in a small, pale body, though they would say much the same about her people as a whole if they knew better.

Underneath the rowdy exterior there is sometimes a glimmer of someone with a healthy curiosity, and an appreciation for both the natural world and the pure pleasure of good music (that isn't necessarily a war ballad).

- Loyal to friends and family

- Fearless in battle

- Jovial spirit
