Flint Frostbeard
Flint Frostbeard is one of those few still kindling hope for Belgrath's restoration and a new golden age for his people. He drinks. He fights. He has keen forgecraft. He doesn't trust magic. This is a dwarf who has not forgotten the old ways. Honor and tradition mean everything to him. Orcs and elves make his blood boil. Gold stirs dark passions buried deep within.
It is his sworn duty to defend the dwarf hold's remaining gates. Sometimes Flint will range as far as the Blightlands or the Allir Reach, but his watchful eye often remains fixed on Bhathairk. As a Captain of the Belgrath Guard he is bound to render aid or root out evil yet in battle he fights like a beast enraged.
Appearance
A stout little man with a barrel chest and broad shoulders, Flint is like a dense ball of dwarven muscle. His oaken beard is ornately tasseled despite the craggy face covered in soot underneath. There are few items more precious to him than his buckler, horned helm, and ale flask. If he were not so heavily armed he would look just as at home working a forge or down a mine shaft.
Skills and Abilities
While he is a fair shot with a crossbow Flint was trained in dwarven battle tactics, preferring to fight with either axe and shield or a good two handed battleaxe. He can channel his own rage to ignore wounds or subtle magical effects.
Like many of his kind Flint is also an accomplished blacksmith. After so many years of surface expeditions he's become an adequate tracker as well. He wouldn't be able to call himself a dwarf if he wasn't an expert at drinking and brawling.

Personality
Flint can be a devoted friend or a fearsome enemy depending on his mood. He has a boisterous laugh yet the weight of his lineage and responsibility often keeps him looking dour. Although he is clever in his own simple ways he remains fiercely intolerant of orcs and only slightly less belligerent around elves. It is difficult to tell if there is a difference between his behavior when drunk or sober because he's almost always very drunk.
