Ferzil Myrlochar
The ne'er do well, foppish dandy who passes for the House Wizard of House Myrlochar
Appearance
Ferzil is a tall, lanky drow male with a handsome face, long, dextrous fingers, and an overdeveloped sense of personal style. He wears extravagantly embroidered robes that layer over one another, just for the effect of the capes, and a floppy tassel-pointed wizard hat. He carries a short staff of carved, polished zurkhwood, capped with a gaudy gilded amber encasing a fossilized flumph-bud.
Skills and Abilities
As a journey-level wizard, Ferzil can cast many evocations of low to medium power. He is especially practiced at showy spells, like the pyrotechnics he often cast to impress guests at his mother's seemingly endless stream of society banquets and balls. He has to date exercised all the arcane theoretical curiosity of a doorknob, however.
Ferzil speaks Drowish, Undercommon, Trade-speak, Elvish, Gnomish, and Draconic. He knows a smattering of Dwarvish, Orcish, and Goblinspeak. He also knows a number of Malak "color words" that he intersperses into his stage language.
As an entertainer and social butterfly, Ferzil has built an encyclopedic knowledge of the greater and lesser noble houses of Zar'Ahal. He knows the acoustics of every performance space in every compound of the Upper City. He has an excellent ability to visually judge volume of spaces large and small. He picks up quickly on easily missed nuances in conversation and social situations.
As a highborn drow, Ferzil cannot be magically made to sleep, is resistant to poisons and magical charms, and can sense the weave of magic at will. Once each day, he can levitate himself or another person or object weighing up to a quarter-ton, or temporarily suppress a magical effect. The duration of this is dependent on the load. For himself alone in his typical degree of equipment, he can maintain the spell for up to ten minutes. If lifting a full quarter ton, he can only maintain the spell for a minute at most. He has keen senses of hearing, smell, and eyesight, and can see in complete darkness out to 120 feet, but is seriously hampered in full daylight, and may be temporarily blinded by sudden bursts of bright light.

Personality
Ferzil is a showy, flashy people-pleaser with a booming, charismatic voice, who enjoys entertaining and can get caught up in garnering praise. He has a knack for gaining the attention of a room. He is vain but not particularly cruel. He feels intense guilt for failing to corral his younger sisters away from the Tuin'Znars during Vyx'aria's return, leading to their execution and House Myrlochar's fall from grace. Newly sobered by their precarious situtation, Ferzil has resolved to finally focus on becoming the wizard Tyrnael needs him to be.
