Personality

Culturally, the people of Eagle-drop Island are very much alike to Eagle Island, sharing customs and language, and both being heavily reliant on sailing and fishing to sustain themselves. Aismir is very similar to the majority of his people; occasionally arrogant, hard to the seas, uncaring, but with a kind heart and an unmovable will at their centre. He takes more after his mother, being softer than the rest of his family, lucky enough to be gifted with magic, not having to brave a fisherman's life.

Biography & Lore

Aismir was born on Eagle-drop Island, to Gont Dockish, a sailor, and Remina Dockish, his wife and first mate. His father was human, a sailing history and lineage going back to the very founding of Eaglehead. His mother, however, had elven roots from the Falwood, her mother being Elvish, and her father Human.

Eagle-drop Island was the smallest landmass below Eaglehead, and relied heavily on, unsurprisingly, a rich boating culture to survive. Quite famously however, was the frequency of human magic users on the island. Due to their distance from Elbion, as well as their lack of its existence for many years, the Eagle-drop people had found their own style of magic, naming themselves Tempestarii, or weather workers. Their expertise in magic allowed them to control the seas and skies, creating favourable winds and conditions for both travelling and fishing.

From a very early age, Aismir was found to have much talent in magic use, likely due to his Elven blood. He was 'Prenticed to the Island Sorcerer, Boldir, who'd trained at Elbion, to teach him how to harness his magical ability. As expected, he had little trouble learning from the old man, and soon began accompanying him on boats to create sail winds and calmer seas. When he turned 13, he was finally allowed to attend to smaller ships on his own, making a little of his own coin to support himself once he'd come of age.
