suneater
“You ask a foolish question. He is not your enemy. He is no one’s enemy. He just wants both what you love and what you hate. He devours suns, you see. Whether they be the kind to brighten your life, or the kind to suffocate you with their heat, he will see them all gone.“ - Anonymous.
Appearance
“They say his eyes are jewels, you know? Some combination of gems that could be sold for thousands, tens of thousands even!” - Salinry, Allirian Tavern Owner
Public Knowledge:
Suneater is known by all, no matter the account or the story, to be seen as a walking armory. He is often seen with six or more weapons for any task he takes, be it a slaughter or a cup of tea. He wears rusting chainmail that people assume has grafted to his skin he’s worn it so long. Above his armor he wears robes and leather pieces that have seen the same level of wear. His face is covered by a knight’s helm, known to have been stolen off the corpse of one of his many targets. He is of average height but his weight is difficult to determine with all the things that he carries.
Proven Rumor:
Suneater is a rugged young man of his late twenties or early thirties. He has dark brown skin that is muscular and scarred up and down his whole body. His eyes are easily the most discussed rumor, as they are a shining gold color. Through his era of legend, it has been claimed that whoever takes his eyes will become the richest person in Arethil after selling them. Also, it is not just weapons he is seen carrying. Things with no intrinsic monetary value such as drawings, lockets and written letters seem to cover his body.
Unknown:
suneater has stains below his eyes representing the amount of times he has cried. This directly equates to everything he kills. While the color of his eyes is beautiful, they are masked by heavy crows feet and bags despite his young age. He also has a full back tattoo of a strange cosmic horror.

Skills and Abilities
“suneater is only the name he’s given himself. I am sure not even he remembers his birth name. Others call him many things. Things that represent his terrifying strength, and his bizarre mannerisms.” - Swordsmith Aktagua
The Oni of Amol-Kalit:
The name comes from his superhuman strength and speed that has been noted by all who have seen him. It seems as if nothing prevents his advance and his immense amount of gear makes no difference in his ability to fight swiftly and brutally. Thus so, he has been considered to be as strong as an Oni.
The Black Market Hag:
The name comes from his disheveled and ugly appearance when in armor, which is nearly always. It also stems from the fact that he dons six weapons at a time and has a plethora of pilfered goods and mementos attached to his armor.
- Harpy’s Talons: Twin katanas attached at his hips. These are his most commonly used weapons. The katanas are meant to deal with crowds of all kinds, and allow combat against multiple combatants to be much easier. The katanas are also rubbed with Deadly Nightshade, so that if he does not kill in one strike, he will absolutely poison his target.
- The Godsmasher: A comically large warhammer that is slung across his back. This weapon is used to target larger and more formidable foes such as trolls and dragons. The hammer is made of silver, and its handle can be pulled from the head to become a gigantic javelin that he can throw.
- Ouroboros: Along sword that is placed horizontally underneath the Godsmasher. It was taken off the corpse of a gorgon, and has the ability to cut through stone. It’s hilt has two serpents attempting to devour each other as the decoration.
- Annabelle: An arm blade that retracts with a button on his wrist. The blade once belonged to an assassin by the name of Annabelle that he’d fallen for. Annabelle was killed during a job and he took the blade to use in her honor.
- The Flagellant‘s Muse: A whip stolen off a crazed holy man. The whip is notched with razor blades and handcrafted sharp objects that the man would use to torture others. Suneater now wears it as a belt.
The Breath Titan:
It is unclear if he means to be or not, but suneater is horrifically intimidating. His presence carries a weight that makes the dead shudder. It is easy to know when he his near, as this maddening aura cloaks a 100ft radius from wherever he is.
