Black Cap Mushroom
A small, spindly mushroom that grows in clusters of 4-8. Sporting a black cap and sickly grey stalks, they begin to dry rapidly at the end of their lifespan until they are brittle and light. Eventually, the dust will slowly become whittled away by the wind, carrying its spores to other habitats.
Should something strike these mushrooms in this state, they will burst into a cloud of dust like spores. At this density, they become toxic to anything that breathes them in or catches them in the eye. This process can be artificially accelerated for those wishing to utilize these spores.
