Zulryn Oknu
Born of an Orc mother and an Elf father, Zulryn is an adventurous girl living in a small town of mixed species. Having recently discovered traces of earth magic in her, she has been sent off for a chance of refining her new-found skills at Elbion—if she gets accepted, that is.
Appearance
Zulryn is a youtful teenage girl. Having inherited the most from her Orc mother, she has deep green skin and short tusks jutting out of her mouth, and her black hair is usually kept in a braid. She has a tall form and wears a green tunic, black long skirt, and a green cloak with her arrows hanging behind her. She keeps her wooden bow with her at all times.Skills and Abilities
Elemental Magic - Zulryn can access the earth's natural magic and use it to manipulate the plants and soil under and around her. She can make seedlings grow into small saplings and create small mounds out of mud if she desires, though her skill still needs some shining. Her magic cannot be overused in one day, or she will be rendered unable to practice magic.Physical skill- She has minor experience in hand-to-hand combat. She is a fast runner and can climb mountains with little to no difficulty. She's surprisingly strong and is able to carry large goods.
Personality
Zulryn is a cheerful, optimistic girl. Being sheltered by her protective parents for her whole life, she is a bit naive, though she is not stupid. She is attuned with nature and thus, cares about her environment a lot, willing it defend it if needed.Some find her a bit too enthusiastic, while others don't mind her. She is always willing to see the best in others. She's sensitive to harsh words, thinking over them even months after the event. While one may think she can easily get along with everyone, the truth is that she can't like large groups and can become self-conscious.
Biography & Lore
Zulryn grew up in Fal'Raheal as a middle child with two sisters. Her parents met when her mother came to live with her father's family for a few years, and eventually settled in the town and married him. They wandered for some years before coming back and having their first child, Elmiba. Zulryn and her younger sister came after five years, with a two-year gap in-between.Being the only child to have manifested magical powers so far, her parents were delighted but worry that she wouldn't be able to catch up due to being a late-bloomer. Regardless, her parents wanted her to succeed and see the world, so they sent her to Elbion in the hopes of becoming a mage. If not, it's her choice to either come home or adventure further.
