Zelx the Dreamer
Appearance
Zelx is monstrous in appearance with two large horns, sporting a set of black eyes, each protruding out of his spiked, flesh-toned, and skull shaped head, two large mandibles which erect out of his toothy maw, and twelve tentacles which each hold an eye. His main eye is yellowed and bloodshot around his amber iris.
Skills and Abilities
In the Eyes of the Dreamer
Zelx has the innate ability to create illusions within his eyesight, but requires Zelx to believe the illusion exists. The more outrageous the illusion, the less likely it will manifest. If the illusion is believed by others, the illusion can have physical form.
Levitation
Zelx is able to levitate in the air at will, self explanatory.
Telekinesis
Zelx has a weak form of Telekinesis which he is able to move objects with his mind, but the objects cannot be over 500 kg.
Personality
Zelx, although frightening in appearance, is somewhat relaxed in personality, but also rather greedy and arrogant. Most of the time, Zelx is often in his sanctum studying, admiring his expansive collection, or dreaming. He is willing to share his knowledge with others, but only if the other party brings a gift.
Biography & Lore
No one really knows where Zelx came from, not even Zelx himself. He first appeared in the spine near a moderately sized village where he is revered by the locals as a wise man known as the dreamer. For gold and fine crafts, he would give wisdom. During this time, he hired the village people to build his palace, the Palace of the Dreamer, a fortress which is built into the side of the Spine.
Ritual of Summoning
The ritual to summon Zelx to ones service from his palace requires the following:
- A summoning spell or circle of some kind.
- The payment of service via gold, magical artifacts, fine crafts, and other things of value.
- Knowledge of the summoning script and Zelx.
