Zel'Ur
Appearance
Of the few descriptions known of this fleeting elf, Zel'ur appears as a figure dressed in black and brass, taller than a normal human and with a mask on his face that represents his face.
In addition to the long black tunic, there is also an armor whose design is much more flashy and ceremonial than practical.
Under those garments, however, hides a fragile body, decrepit and corroded by time. The garments, at this point, are only a diversion to look away from a miserable creature, afflicted by age and black magic: the arms and legs are withered, the neck and the head appear elongated due to his thinness, and the belly is reduced to a meat pouch for equally wizened organs.
In general, Zel'Ur looks more like a corpse than an elf, if it were not for the face with now dessecrated and rotting fine features and pointed, very long ears.
In addition, on his face there's a tattoo of an eye, a sign of the link with his personal divinity: the "Mark" is purplish, and seems to scrutinize the horizon… or maybe, just what is in front of it.

Skills and Abilities
Centuries of studies have tempered the dark arts of this abomination. Zel'ur has discovered a dangerous but useful spell for his own purposes, the "Life-Draining", with which he can subtract vital essence to other living beings, even if the improvement of this magical technique is still far away and the duration of the beneficial effects last only depending on what being his hands stopped on.
An animal, of any size, is a skinny sop, a human or a dwarf is ideal for reinvigorating his senses, but one of his own past kind can bring him back to his full strength for several weeks and then slowly return to its cadaveric state.
When he doesn't use his corrupted magic, Zel'ur uses a pair of short swords created by a very rare mineral that scholars have named Siderite, stolen from the academy that gave him birth. The blades are very sharp, so much to penetrate meat like butter, and his skills as an Elf lead him to be a fearsome fighter, even if without grace and with techniques to say the least incorrect.

Personality
There is no mercy in this being. Unscrupulous, mocking and even sadistic on certain occasions, Zel'ur has an enormous ego that leads him to boast and want to affirm his superiority, especially of his magical powers.
Very susceptible to criticism, he does not accept compromises except for eventuality and only if he can earn something. Furthermore, he has no interest in a love affair of any kind.

Biography & Lore
Born in a remote region of the spine, in what was once a renowned academy / enclave called Saamak, Zel'ur has always stood out for his great curiosity.
Like all the inhabitants of the great academy, Zel'ur spent many hours in the library, searching for forgotten knowledge and tales of magicians who transcended the rules of magic; this was seen by a good part of his peers as senseless and worthy of a madman or a dreamer.
Year after year, the magician learned and discovered a scheme between some manuscripts kept in supervised or forgotten areas, all with the same signature of an adept who, like himself, did not want to be content with learning the same rules and the same teachings, just to add a miserable page to an already extensive book, he wanted to create and amplify and destroy, be the creator and lord of his powers, not the slave of castrating and ancient rules.
Thus, his descent into perdition began.
Conducted into the depths of the academy by notes found in books, Zel'ur was welcomed into a cult of magicians who practiced the most arcane and obscure arts, a cult that was now dying as right as it was: the Eyes of Endoss.
Immediately received coldly, his initiation was exhausting and painful, but this was a small price to reach his final goal. Accepted later with open arms, the inhabitants of the Academy noticed a change in the ways of Zel'ur, who was now more sociable, charming, persuasive ... all traits influenced by spells learned from his new masters and confreres.
Thanks to him, many of the younger ones were indoctrinated in the Eyes of Endoss, enough to revive the coven of dark sorcerers, and expand the rites and knowledge of his studies.
After years of service, and having reached a very high position in the ranks, Zel'ur discovered a way to merge all the souls of the coven into a single being, or more precisely a container capable of keeping souls forever, outside from time and space, a spell that could have caused the beginning of a new being ... or a cataclysm.
Determined to want to overcome death, that great clan of magicians first eliminated their Academy opponents, then kidnapped all the remaining members and finally expanded their knowledge through cruel experiments.
Now old and decrepit, Zel'ur decided it was time to start the ritual: a titanic crystal, stolen from a dwarven clan resident in the nearby mountains, would have served its purpose, a rare crystal that could only be found deep in the earth, a pure gem and untouched by the dawn of time. Thus, the Eyes of Endoss abandoned their bodies of flesh and blood and united into one being ... trapped in the crystal.
And Zel'ur knew what to do.
For centuries, the elf fed on the souls of his companions, and used the bodies as faithful servants, without a soul and stripped of all power they could now only do minor jobs, while the magician abandoned his mortal remains to transcend the life itself, dying slowly but sustaining itself with its creation.
But as we know, everything that is magical is destined to end.
Centuries after his success, Zel'ur discovered that the great crystal contained only the weakest souls, and soon his sustenance would end.
Terrified of the idea of having to die, and even more of knowing that everything he had fought for, deceived and even betrayed would have been lost forever, like dust in the wind.
Now at the end of the day, the deceitful being decided to move to a new cave, close to populated places so as to be able to find new sources of life to avert death.
After months of traveling in which he learned to wrest the vital essence of the living, Zel'ur found a forgotten place under the cliffs of Cerak At'Thul, a burial kingdom lost over the centuries, a house full of servants just waiting to be reanimated.
But even today, this necromancer has much to learn: knowledge transmitted by whispers in the shadows, voices in his head, fleeting shadows at the corners of his eyes that never before had manifested themselves.
There is still time to learn.
There is still much to study.
And there is still a whole lot of life to steal and consume.
