Appearance
Lean yet strong, Zaire may be on the “shorter” side for most initiates but he’s patient that any moment will be his growth spurt.
Skills and Abilities
Weapon of choice: polearms.
Personal magic: Amplification and Resonance, these go hand in hand. Initially was assumed that his magic was a weak form of electric/lightning manipulation, and so for a long time Zaire was constantly last in his class. Only recently was it discovered that through his electric pulses, he can achieve a unique hyper-nerve induction technique which has skyrocketed him to be noticed by proctors and peers.
Amplification- Zaire possesses the ability to amplify not only himself but others.
Resonance: a near-invisible wavelength that comes from Zaire that allows him to use amplification on others. At it’s strongest point, Zaire is able to resonant with another so much to the extent that it feels as if he has “entered” their body. Has only happened once and lasted no longer than ten seconds. What Zaire often uses resonance for is to spread his amplification technique across a spread of people (maximum is five at this point) to amplify their physical and magical abilities as long as they stay within a certain range.
With resonance as well, due to Zaire’s calming nature, it has been seen that while he is resonating with someone they tend to be less irritable and more relaxed, allowing them to have clearer focus. Once resonance has ended, Zaire tends to be quite reclusive.

Personality
Calm and serious, soft-spoken yet snarky with a crude sense of humor— but easily excitable and outgoing around Darakai’s presence. Has a bad habit of rolling his eyes and scoffing at others.
Biography & Lore
Son of a commander in northern army, Dorobrand Glaive, and a former templar mother, Maia Glaive, Zaire takes responsibility quite seriously, especially when he left Vel Ehn to follow after his twin who had already been at the Academy. Or rather, he used to. Since Darakai’s disappearance, Zaire has been notably more irritable and reclusive than before. His somber moods only ever seem lifted by whatever drug he can get his hands on.
