Zaid Ardin
Zaid is a professional assassin, but that only tells a small fraction of the story about him. He is an inherently distant and cryptic man whose motivations are not abundantly clear. On the surface, a killer for hire is all that many will ever see, but not everything is as it appears.
Appearance
Zaid is of average height and relatively attractive. He is athletic and his olive skin betrays that some part of his heritage is likely from the desert peoples of the west. Although he appears to be in his early thirties, he is, in fact, much older than that.
Skills and Abilities
Zaid has been an assassin for many more years than his appearance belies. As such, he has picked up all of the skills one would expect of him. He is skilled with sword, bow, poison, and many other tools, but by far his most useful ability is magic. While he's skilled in many types of magic, he particularly uses illusions to disguise himself and misdirect his enemies.
Personality
Zaid is cold and distant to most. He is unwavering in the face of danger and loves the thrill of the hunt. Although he is in a most disreputable profession, there's more complexity to him than is at first visible on the surface, though few ever see it. Most of those who meet him and know who he is simply know that he is a consummate professional.
