An Alqatati Princess, Zaahira is the sole heir and child of her clan's chieftain, or Ra'is. She is a skilled, if naive, warrior and has opted to venture into the world to seek glory before returning to her people to become Ra'is herself upon her father's passing.

Appearance

Zaahira possesses the features of all Alqatati: a humanoid, catlike body, feline head, and the grace and speed inherent in her species. Her fur is the color of baked sand and she often wears the leather and silk armor of her people. Her primary weapon is the scimitar, an iconic weapon of the Alqatati tribes, though she is trained in the use of the bow and carries a composite bow gifted to her from her father.

Skills and Abilities

Zaahira is a skilled swordswoman and well versed in the bow. She is a gifted rider, whether horse or camel, and trained in basic diplomacy. She is fluent in Alqatati, the native language of her people, as well as Common and passable in Elvish depending on the dialect. She also possesses the inhuman grace and dexterity of her species as well as the species' natural defenses: claws.

Personality

Somewhat arrogant and aggressive, Zaahira is often impatient when faced with problems or delays. She is quick to fight and often prefers direct conflict as opposed to conflict resolution, usually to the detriment of the situation. When convinced to seek peaceful resolutions, however, she can often navigate towards a solution, albeit reluctantly at times.

Biography & Lore

Born as the only child of the Ra'is of the Daw'Talamae, or Shimmering Light Clan, Zaahira was raised as both a princess and a warrior, though she took a greater liking to the path of a warrior than any other. She learned the ways of her people; how to ride and fight, how to navigate the dunes and sands, how to travel by night and rest by day, and how to interpret the laws, lore, religion, and history of her people. As she came of age, she knew that to solidify her place as her clan's future Ra'is, she needed to know more of the world at large and, with relative, current peace among the various Alqatati clans and the various neighbors and cities of the region, she needed to prove her mettle, earning glory to her name and that of her clan. With this in mind, she now ventures into the rest of the world. What she will find, she does not know.
