At age 8 Wesley became an orphan after war broke out, his father went off to fight and died on the battle field, knowing most of the warriors were away the attackers saw the perfect opertunity to invade the Kingdom, not much damage was done but Wesley's family was not so lucky. Warriors entered his home and slayed his preganant mother and elder sister right infront of his eyes.
Like many Routen orphans he then began training in combat shortly after so that once he reached fourteen he could join the military forces in full and that is exactly what happened.
Growing up alongside his now Queen, her brother and a handful of other warriors from a young age they became the closest thing to family he had and now he has unfaultering loyalty to them. Now, nine years after he became the last of his bloodline he has earned a position in the his queens chosen circle of her most trusted and skilled warriors
