Velis is a charming and handsome young Cheshairi, who was born in Alliria to a loving pair of parents, but when he was a child, his parents were killed in cold blood, leaving the young boy alone with nothing but his powers and quick hands. And soon he found himself stealing to survive, and not only was he good at it, but he enjoyed every bit of it, and soon was stealing not only to survive, but because it was fun. But eventually all good things must come to an end, and he had to flee the city after stealing the wrong thing, from the wrong person. So he fled across the continent to the city of Elbion, where he found that people who were able to get their hands on things were quite needed in certain circles, and with his talents, he soon had a name for himself there, able to live comfortably, and still engage in his hobby of have sticky fingers.

Velis is a lithe framed person that stands at about 5 feet seven inches in height, and weighs around 110 pounds, though he often walks like he weighs much less. He has raven black hair that would sit at around where a humans ear would end, and has almost glowing slit yellow eyes. His mouth has more pointed teeth than a human does, and his canines are a touch longer, and is capable of stretching into a almost cartoon grin. He has a fair complexion and tanned skin, except for his hands which end with black fur that covers them, and are tipped with claws.

Velis has a number of skills he has honed over the years which help him in his 'trade'. He is a highly skilled pickpocket, often times able to steal something right under someones nose. He is quite good at sneaking around as well, his steps almost nonexistent as he moves, even normally, and often times he blends into the background going unnoticed by the gaze of a normal person, though those with trained eyes can notice that something is off. He has a variety of skills with various tools and weapons, ranging from lock picks, to tools made to disable traps both physical and magical, and is fairly proficient with small light weapons like short swords and daggers, and with his claws which are often his weapon of choice.
But most of his skills of stealth are overshadowed by his own race's natural ability to seemingly disappear from the physical world, slowly vanishing from the senses until they are completely undetectable. And Velis has honed his ability to be able to disappear in the blink of an eye if he chooses, and even make different parts of his body disappear instead of his entire person, for example he can make his hand and arm disappear, and put the rest of his against a door, and make his hand appear on the other side to unlock the door. In addition to this, Velis is highly resistant to most forms of physical damage and some magical ones, as his form can become insubstantial when attacked, though magic weapons do exist that can make him a solid target to hit, and many spells can hurt him even then (Specifically fire and electricity.). And finally Velis has the ability to heal wounds, both his own and others, and can even nullify poisons if given time.

Velis is a very mischievous and curious person, which often lead him into getting into trouble, though he has fun the entire time. He love to have fun, even as he works, sometimes pulling pranks on even those he is pulling stealing from. But he is a kind person at heart, and typically wont steal from those that have little or look down on their luck, and will sometimes even go out of his way to steal for those people. He is quite charming as well, always having a carefree grin on his face and flirting with those he finds attractive or interesting, and has been known to talk himself out of dangerous situations. Velis also has a soft spot for children, and will play with young kids if he comes across them, even showing them some of his tricks and even vanishing to make them laugh. But Velis is not a harmless person either, and if to defend himself or those he chooses, is a cold person and will make people pay if pushed.
