Appearance

Tyrael has long black hair, his wings matching the same color as he was born with them. When his wings were fully extended, the nearly doubled his height but in wingspan. For his elvish features, he would be considered handsome by humans and other species but average among his own kind. Tyrael had a lean and medium build, helping him fly with the lighter weight. While he didn't bare any scars, he was covered in black tattoo's, most of them appearing tribal at first glance. But upon further inspection, they would find that the tattoo's along his left arm formed a sword while on his right it formed a spear. There were more than covered both sides of his ribs with other intricate designs.

Skills and Abilities

Tyrael is quite skilled at flying with his wings, having spent hundreds of years practicing and knowing how to control his weight and each limb. He preferred the feel of physical weapons in his hands such as a spear or sword. His first choice wasn't to use the arts of magic. But even though he didn't prefer it, Tyrael still used it heavily, so much that it was a part of his skin. The tattoo's on his arms and rest of his body wasn't just for show but his actual weapons embedded into his skin, a type of dark magic that came with a heavy price. It assisted in his flight as well, not needing to carry the extra weight of weapons to bog him down. With a simple word, Tyrael could pull his weapons out from his skin. Once pulled from his skin, they acted like a normal sword or spear, whichever he chose and could be used in combat. But the magic came at a price. He couldn't be separated from his weapons for too long, otherwise, it a constant drain on his energy until he wouldn't have any left unless he reconnected with his weapons once again. While he could throw his weapons and not have physical contact for some time, prolonged time with no contact would act as a drain for him, completely emptying of energy until he wouldn't have any.

Personality

Tyrael is like most other Avaril, believing they are the superior species compared to others, mostly the surface dwellers. He had spent his whole life amongst his own kind, reaffirming that belief that they're kind were more advanced and free compared to everyone else. With his own, Tyrael could be seen as reasonable and even kind, valuing other's opinions if they bore wings like him as he viewed them equally. To those who didn't have wings, Tyrael viewed them with disdain and mistrust, believing them weak and uneducated compared to himself or others that were of his species.

Biography & Lore

Tyrael was born in Spine Mountain Ridge like the rest of his kind. He stood out from his other brethren as he bore long black wings that matched with his hair. Despite the visual difference, Tyrael got along fine with others, living his life as he practiced his flying and training while sticking clear away from any other species. Through his training, Tyrael was eventually promoted to an Overseer for his people, a sort of scout that overlooked the surface kingdom and species to make sure they wouldn't bring their war or vices to his people. Tyrael had spent hundreds of years, watching over the people and see how they wasted their lives over petty reasons just for more land or wealth. It kept reinforcing the belief in his mind that these people were beneath him, they're squabbling needless.

For some time when Tyrael had been out patrolling, he disappeared for some years, leaving without a trace and a word. At first, his kind thought he had just left, abandoning them to find his own path for some strange reason. They had sent out others to find him, hoping that he hadn't been captured and their kind revealed. But after some time they had given up, just coming to the conclusion that Tyrael was gone. But fifty years later he had returned, dark tattoo's now covering his skin as he had changed somewhat. The other's noticed but didn't question, still believing Tyrael their brother as he acted the same from the past but he was different. The anger that he held before now only multiplied towards his people and the ones that roamed the surface and formed to live in the mountains.

While he still respected and loved his people, Tyrael would no longer accept them hiding in their clouds above everyone else. The ones below would know of the Avariel when the time was right and he would show them. His people were not just meant to rule the skies, but the lands and everyone else that had staked a claim in it.
