Appearance

Trovik was a large Minotaur, powerfully built, with brown fur so dark that it was almost black. He has short, shaven hair/fur, the Minotaur equivalent of being clean-shaven. He carried a Rhomphaia along with a Khopesh sword as a sidearm. His only type of clothing was a red skirt made up of leather pteruges, greaves and pauldron with a large red belt.

Skills and Abilities

Trovik like the rest of his people has been trained from birth to fight and herd livestock, from grappling and wrestling to the sword and the javelin. He in particular favours two-handed weapons, such as his rhomphaia.

Being a nomad he knows several survival skills from hunting, tracking, knowing edible plants, how to find freshwater, all the skills he needed to help him and his clan survive the Taagi Baara Steppes.

Trovik has some amount charisma and is thrifty individual, often haggling prices or for things to trade in his favour, a key skill learned when trading his clans goods and his few years as mercenary

Personality

Trovik is not the sharpest tool of the shed, he often acts before he thinks while this can a good thing when it’s comes to battle it often leads him into less than ideal situations for him and those around him, though he seems to never learn from it since he can usually get himself out of it one way or another. he is also brash, crass and egotistical.

Trovik holds only three things dear, his Clan, Tradition and coin. He is true to his word, he obeys the laws and hierarchies as it is a precept of his society, he lauds cunning but dishonourable lies, trickery or cowardice are unacceptable behaviours fit only for the lesser beings.

Biography & Lore

Trovik was born into the nomadic minotaur Clan of the Half-Horns, he grew up constantly on the move his entire childhood, following the grazing patterns of their livestock, preparing him for life on the road as mercenary.

The nomadic life was no easy life, every clan member had to pull their own weight, when he wasn’t being taught how to fight and survive the Steppe, he was watching the clan herds, helping tanning leather and other chores.

At 20, his coming of age, his left horn was removed, given to him and was made to leave the Clan and return to the tribe in 10 winters with his horn or not to return at all. As such he left for the more ‘civilised’ lands in the rest of Arethil to work ar mercenary.
