Tokudaiji Tenzo is a man cast into the world largely by his own choices. The son of a wandering human warrior and an elven mother, Tokudaiji has been forced to live a life of scrutiny and and shame. Not long after his birth, his father killed his mother and fled Fal'Addas, leaving Tokudaiji alone in a city that no longer had true connection to him. Now, he has set out into the world, seeking to hunt down the father he never knew, and get answers for what has been done.

Appearance

Tokudaiji is a tall and lanky individual, with lightly developed muscles along his frame. His skin is light colored, nearly albino in appearance and he has to take a certain degree of care to ensure he does not burn in even the coolest of days. He tends to wear only black, leaning heavily towards a black duster cloak that goes all the way down to his ankles, and a black pair of pants and shirt underneath. He has sharp angular features, the legacy of his mothers side of the family, and bright blue luminescent eyes and pitch black hair, the only things he got from his father genetically.

Skills and Abilities

Growing up in Fal'Addas, Tokudaiji learned early on many of the traits and skills the elven children did in his home city. He learned to travel the forests of Falwood, how to hunt and survive, how to use a bow and when not to. He is not as proficient in these skills as true born elves, but he is further ahead than most of his human contemporaries in these fields. His lack of skill in the eyes of other elves stems from the fact he grew up too fast. While an elder in human years, he is still relatively young for an elf, yet his human half ensured he grew faster than his peers.

Possessing the sword of his father, left at the scene of his mothers murder, Tokudaiji has taught himself to wield the blade as a experienced swordsman. Hardly an expert of master warrior in the craft, as he lacks years of true combat experience, he is nonetheless adept in the field of combat he has chosen as his primary focus. His tall and lithe build gives him reach over most foes, and a grace of speed that few can match head on. As he journeys out into the world, his abilities continue to grow and develop with each encounter he survives as he seeks to prepare himself for the day he will meet his ultimate challenge.

In terms of magic, Tokudaiji has only the barest training and vaguest of understandings. He was taught the Five Laws like all children in Fal'Addas, but where others decided to push on and experiment with their powers, Tokudaiji chose to let them stagnate. He has been told he has a potent magical potential, but stories he has heard about his fathers own abilities have led him to ignore this talent. As it stands, he only has the smallest control over elemental magic, focusing primarily on fire.

Personality

Tokudaiji Tenzo has a detached, almost cruel sense of humor. He tends to laugh at other peoples failures, seeing it as a failing on their part to prevent it. He takes particular joy in watching individuals challenge the ruling authority of whatever region they are in, breaking its laws, and suffering the consequences that are sure to come. This is not to say Tokudaiji strictly follows the laws of the world himself, but he takes joy in seeing people he sees as more foolish than himself failing.

With strangers, especially elven in descent, he comes across as a distant person in first meetings. He has had few friends in his life, fewer still among those he considers to be true friends, and he has little interest in attempting to make more. Lonely by choice, he sees it as his duty in life to have to suffer to pay for the crime his father committed and escaped from, and until the day he brings an end to that bloody debt, Tokudaiji has little interest in drawing others close. He won't ignore people who try to get to know him for say, and he will help those in need of they peek his interest, but this is all to say he will not go out of his way to meet strangers.

While not evident at first, Tokudaiji has a well defined and strong moral compass that he follows, though it often does not line up with what other people would consider moral. He will help those in need if the plight they face is not of their own making, but if they brought it on themselves he tends to simply walk by. He has little hesitation or regret when it comes to taking lives, though he does it only when necessary as he sees death as far too final a thing.
