Tielan Kiertan
A jolly old Elf with a deep love of tea, traveling and talking with fascinating strangers.
Appearance
A portly old-looking Elf, Tielan has long graying hair that extends down into a beard and mustache, but the bulk of the length is tied up in a topknot. He also has pointed ears and is a bit heavyset, with a round belly, and nearly always a wide smile and eyes that always look to be laughing. He dresses simply in nice, but minimalist robes, and thin-soled slippers. The only thing that sets him apart from any number of Elven retirees is the two swords tucked into his robes at the waist, and the wooden training sword on the other hip.

Personality
Tielan loves life, the world, and everything within it. He cherishes the sight of the smallest plant as thoroughly as a masterpiece artwork. He takes the attitude and includes meeting people of all sorts, even those who might consider him their enemy. He is, at heart, a peace-maker, despite also being a warrior-monk.
Biography & Lore
Born and raised in the hidden Monastery of the Four-Petalled Flower, a monastic community of Elven origin open to all species and all genders that can find it, Tielan has grown into the epitome of their philosophy. He has studied and master four sacred arts, four pragmatic arts, the four combative arts, and the Secrets of the Breath, reaching the highest level of mastery within the Monastery. However, he lacks the temperament deemed necessary for leadership which, to his great relief, has prevented him from being initiated as one of the Four Petals of the monastery. Instead, he has opted to go wandering the world in pursuit of the delights of the world.
