The Heart Of Ignore
The Red Tear
The Sunfire Ruby
When in possession of someone it bestows pyromancy and fluctuates heat depending on the mood but it does not respond to everyone.
(Those who possess innate magic of any kind cannot use the gemstone)
The source of the Gemstones power is blood and offering to Ignore. Though it has built up vast reserves these are not infinite and will weaken over time, needing to be replenished.
One serious drawback of the gemstone is the effect it can have on the body and mind of its user. While being used sparingly is relatively safe sustained use can leave it's weilder "stuck" in a permanent immolated state until the power of the gem wanes enough or the wielder is pacified somehow, either by force or coercion. Worse still, in this state they will become ravenous in their attempts to burn all they can regardless of what or who is close.
God of fire. (Deceased)
When it landed it was taken to the last of his Temples as a divine artifact.
(It came from the sky in an asteroid. The mythos around it is rarely known.)
This beautiful ruby gemstone hums with a faint rhythm not unlike a heartbeat. Some say you can see an eye peering out if you look at it in the right way.
History
A High Priestess of Ignore named Tuamo found the ruby gemstone in the crater of a meteor.
She believed it to be a gift from Ignore. Her congregation was failing. Her god, she believed, was also dying. For without belief and offering how could a god live?
She took the gemstone and into it poured her faith and blood until she could no more and that day the ruby gemstone began to beat like a living heart.
Over time more came and gave faith and blood to it.
The gemstone grew hot and powerful. It began to bestow upon those nearby the power of Ignore.
More came, for thirteen hundred years they came and gave themselves to the gemstone.
It's power and blessing is not the work of one, but of tens of thousands. The power stored within it became greater than ten lifetimes worth.
Then, as these things do the worship waned and became a trickle until only one remained to give their faith and blood to the gemstone and when they had done so the gemstone slept. Not beating again until the thieves came, robbers and looters who took the gem and gave it to their eldest child, whose name was Thraah and when her hand touched it the Heart of Ignore beat once again.
