Appearance

The Doctor is clad in a heavy coat, usually with a hood pulled up and over his hat. On top of said hood usually resides a hat of some sorts, while on his face is a beaked mask, the mask of the Plague Doctors. Aside from what he wears, none alive know his face, as his mask covers his face and he covers the rest of himself with heavy clothing and armor underneath said clothing.

As he lives and walks, he is the embodiment of the Plague Doctors returned. The Doctor is garbed as they were and still are, showing the distinctive look that all Plague Doctors have.

Skills and Abilities

Strengths
Limited Necromancy- The Doctor is self taught in the ways of necromancy. Thus, while he can bring things back to a parody of life, they are far weaker than a true necromancer. That said, they serve his needs well.

Sorcerous- Having learned under some teachers in the past, The Doctor knows several spells that help him in what he does, and with defending himself. Once again, he’s hardly a master, but it suits him well for he can use the spells quickly and efficiently.

Fighter- Despite appearances, The Doctor knows how to fight, and can fend for himself quite easily. To do so, he uses a sword, several daggers, his staff, and his necromancy and sorcery skills.

Weaknesses
Blunt- While in most cases, being blunt will help The Doctor, this isn’t always the case. With certain individuals, this will get The Doctor into trouble, not that he cares.

Job- Due to his job, The Doctor is subjected to many things that would kill a lesser man. Though he has built an immunity to many things and can combat others well, his job is very hazardous and few willingly follow him.

Personality

The Doctor is a no nonsense and outwardly cold person. Some would describe his personality as uncaring, sadistic even. While The Doctor does appreciate these things and often is, he takes his work seriously and will not tolerate interruptions. Time is always of the essence, and thus he doesn’t accept interruptions when working, and when he has free time, he will only accept things that are straight to the point. As such, The Doctor is very blunt and doesn’t care about hurting someone’s feelings.

Biography & Lore

No one knows his past, where he comes from, or where he goes. All anyone can ever find out is that The Doctor is a man that follows various plagues, bringing his versions of cure’s to people in need. These often do work, but sometimes they do more harm than good if he comes across plague’s he’s never faced before. Due to his profession as a Plague Doctor, The Doctor cares not for boundaries, rules, ideologies, or anything of the like. He cares only for doing his job and curing the sick, sometimes using questionable means to do so. At least, this is all that anyone knows and believes about him.

Here is what The Doctor himself knows about himself, that no one IC would ever find out unless told directly from him.

The Doctor is a young man, no older than 30, though not even he is sure how old he is anymore. The reason for that is his job, and how long he’s been doing it. When he was still a young teen, The Doctor was just like any other teenage boy, with hardly a care in the world. Then a plague came and destroyed his city in its entirety, with The Doctor only barely surviving. The reason for that is unknown to even him, though he suspects it’s due to some sort of strong resistance to plagues and pestilences, or perhaps passive use of his powers.

When the plague destroyed his city, The Doctor didn’t know what to do, and was lost, scarred, and trying to find his place in the world. Eventually he did, in the form of his mentor, another Plague Doctor who taught the young boy everything he knew. In doing so, it was discovered that The Doctor had magical potential, and was taught several things by various sorcerers so that he could use his potential. This potential wasn’t simply to cure plagues, but to do other, darker things.

His training took 7 years, throughout which he learned everything from his Plague Doctor mentor and various sorcerers. Upon its completion, he swore an oath to discover everything there was to about plagues and diseases, to cure everything he could, and learn from what he could not. This included, but was not limited to, torture on the sick, autopsies, tests, and everything else. If he could save them, he should try to, but if he could not, then he must learn from the experience.

Upon the completion of his training and the swearing of his oath, The Doctor set out into the world on his own, intent on doing what he’d sworn to do. He followed plagues, sometimes made them and brought them elsewhere, and always did what he had to in the name of science. As such, he thinks that what he does is just, no matter the consequences. Now The Doctor travels the world, doing as he has for the past several years, bringing death and misery with him, or following in its wake and dealing with the fallout.
