The Construct is a fairly recognizable as a man of elvish height made completely out of metal. It's eyes are perhaps the most striking thing about it, shining blue lights illuminated by magic.

• Durability: Made entirely of steel and missing pesky things such as nerves, the Construct can take a beating and keep going.
• Inorganic: The Construct does not require food, water, sleep, or even air to survive, allowing it several extra hours in the day.

Not long ago a dwarvish Maester was reaching the ends of his days. Not taking the lessons he had taught to so many students, he attempted to circumvent the Thread of Mortality. Using his skill in magic and hobby as a smith he created a metal body and attempted an elaborate ritual to store his consciousness within it, imitating rumors of the processes liches use to create a phylactery. The Maester dreadfully miscalculated however, and rather than preserve life he created it, at the price of his own life, along with every plant, animal, and student within his laboratory.

Other Maesters within Elbion soon found that the Construct and upon examination found it possessed a novel difference from the regular enchanted golem, intelligence. Several tried to prove that the Dwarvish Maester had succeeded but lost his memories, while other attempted to show it was an amalgam of all the sentients involved in the experiment. All were disappointed however, as none could find a thread between any of the late Mages and the Construct. This, it was locked away for study. Eventually some Graduate Students put into the project decided that the imprisonment of the Construct was inhumane, and in the night released the Construct into the wild. Now it wanders, searching for some semblance of meaning in a world cold as iron.
