Takoda
A magically gifted young man forced to enroll in the Academy to ensure the peaceful integration of his tribe into Vel Anir's Republic.
Appearance
Takoda is an imposing figure with sharp grey eyes that often look harshly at the world around him. His lean yet muscular build along with his confident demeanor denotes the boy as a young warrior of his tribe and now Vel Anir. While he was born with long black hair, he enjoys dying something of his braids white, especially the tips. His dark hair, dark brown skin, and the tattoos that cover his body mark him as a member of the Irouqqi Tribe.
Takoda often prefers to lose fitting and simple clothing, still finding Vel Anir clothes to be much to restrictive and formal. As for jewelry, he has many beads and pendants that he wears as necklaces, bracelets, or woven into his hair. (Most are made of wood.)

Skills and Abilities
Gravitational Manipulation: His people call him the Skyrider, but Vel Anir has a much more no-nonsense name for the magic. Takoda can manipulate gravity's direction on himself or anything he touches. The effect can only last for up to ten seconds on something after he has stopped touching it, but he is working on increasing that. It is important to note that Takoda does not stop gravity though, if he reverses gravity on someone, they do not float but instead fall upwards.
Personality
Takoda was raised for leadership, from birth, as the son of the tribe's chief. He was a warrior who was used to leading the children of his age. He was a happy and confident child, but that all changed as their wars with Vel Anir began. After their defeat and Takoda being sent to the Academy, Takoda still holds confidence in his abilities and does have a sense of charm but he can't help but look at most of Vel Anir with fear, distrust, or anger.
Biography & Lore
The son of the Irouqqi tribe's Chief, Takoda was destined to be a leader, warrior, and hunter for his people. He was trained in these pursuits from the youngest age and was immediately recognized as a leader for his generation. Takoda was the great hope for the future of the tribe. These beliefs were only cemented on his 11th birthday when his magical abilities manifested, and he was gifted the nickname "Skyrider."
When Vel Anir's armies first began their pushes into the Aberresai Savannah, Takoda's tribe was one of their first opponents, being as their ancestral lands covered the west. While his tribe was ultimately defeated, Vel Anir agreed to allow the tribe to continue wandering these lands as long as they swore an oath to serve the Republic...and one more thing. The Skyrider, the Hope of the Irouqqi, Takoda was to be sent to The Academy to be trained as a Dreadlord (and political prisoner).
