Ssar'Xon the Twice-Born
Ssar'Xon also known as Ssar'Xon the Twice-Born or The Twin Shamans is a Naga spiritual leader and advisor to the Scaled King - well known for their twin heads that speak and act independently of one another. In Naga society Ssar'Xon is referred to as a single individual and both heads will respond to the same name - however in casual conversations both heads will speak to one another and will even refer to each other using sibling contexts and differing gender pronouns. These are never consistent and the heads will often switch them around or stop using them all together.
To listeners both heads sound identical and androgynous. The heads will sometimes refer to one as "Ssar" and the other "Xon" but this too lacks consistency. Whether this is due to the Twice-Borns complex biology or if it is a deliberate act to confuse others is unknown.
Appearance
Ssar'Xon is a striking figure to behold - even for others of their own kind. Towering over most humanoids at 7'8, Ssar'Xon maintains the piercing gaze of two cobra-like heads that part from a single body at the chest into two fully formed necks and skulls. Both heads are perfectly identical, sharing a large head hood, glowing red eyes, forked purple tongues and two large fangs that protrude from their upper jaws - which are offset to allow the long fangs to sit comfortably outside the mouth even when their mouths are shut.
The body itself is scaled in primarily jet-black across the back while the belly is accented in light grey. Ssar'Xon's chest is broad and, just as with their heads, the creature has four arms - two on either side of its body.
Ssar'Xon is a fan of ceremonial decorations and both heads have had their hoods pierced - the right head having the right-side of its hood pierced with bronze and silver rings while the left head has done the inverse. Their arms are also decorated in an array of gold, bronze and silver rings, bracelets and armbands. The creature wears a bronze tail band half-way down its body. Ssar'Xon also wears a red sash and necklaces made of bone, herbs and vials containing different substances used for ritual purposes.
