Solveig Odasson
Appearance
Most blacksmiths are described as mountains of men, and while Solveig is no exception, he is less barrel-chested and overly-brawny, though far from wiry. His muscles are that of a practical kind, not overly cut and showy, but solid. Dirty blond hair with a braided goatee and icy blue-green eyes flecked with gold, his glyph is prominently on his forehead, and jokingly would his master say it was to reflect the his apprentice's headstrong nature. There is no mistaking him when he enters a room, due to his almost towering height and natural way of carrying himself speaking of restrained power.

Biography & Lore
Solveig was born to a loving family, his father a carpenter and his mother a weaver, living in the Indeholm region. He grew up well and prosperous, with a penchant for mischief that never gave his mother a moments peace. A prank played on a local blacksmith revealed potential for the boy to learn the craft, and so his parents allowed him to enter an apprenticeship.
However, this was short lived due to age of his master and the man's ill health. Osric passed quickly, but did leave Solveig with a choice. One of his former apprentices lived in Nordengaard and was seeking an able pupil. A letter of introduction, and a roll of tools was given to the boy, and with family blessing he undertook the trek to the Capital to meet Erik, in the company of a merchant' caravan. On the way, a kindly guard took the time to show Solveig the rudiments of axe, sword, and shield. He assessed the newly minted teen Solveig as not being any sort of royal guar, but competent.
When the two met, some say they were instantly antagonistic, and for sure it is hard to tell whether they are master and pupil, or father and son, so alike in appearance and temper. For years the two worked as one, turning out fine blades, mail, armor and whatever else was needed. At the age of 17, Solveig journeyed home to bury his mother. Dead from a wasting sickness. While there, dispatch was sent to Erik, and with the blessing of his father, Solveig Took the Path in the wilds near Indeholm.
As with many, he doesn't speak overly much of his time. His arrival back in Norengaard to the forge of Erik was quite something, the newly minted man bringing a Molvaniir hide and tusks as gift to his mentor. His Svalen found, Solveig showed a minor talent of the petty sort of rune magic common enough amongst Nordenfiir smiths, but in the interceding years it became clear to Erik that his apprentice possessed more than a small amount of the talent, and he began to wonder just what to do about it.
