Solaine
Sunlit Whimsy
Appearance
Soft, sun-warmed colors and careless charm. Her curls are molten amber, always blowing in the breeze. Her skin carries the same faint shimmer as her aunt's- an inherited trait of the LaRoe's illusory magic. Hers seems to glow from within, as though lit by an eternal sunset. Solaine's eyes are deep blue, the only part of her that reject the warmth of the Day Court. Much to everyone's dismay, she is never seen in the same outfit twice. Solaine loves to design her own clothing with a flair for dramatic whimsy and scandalous silhouettes.
Personality
While her aunt, Queen Gwynevere, is solemn, spectral, and often veiled in mystery, Solain LaRoe burns bright like the midday sun. She is a natural extrovert in a court ruled by illusion and grace. Solaine is an explosion of color and chaos, often seen darting through the gardens barefoot, hair tangled with petals, laughter echoing like a birdsong while guards try to rein her in.
The court adores her. Solaine has a way of making people feel seen. She remembers names, compliments outfits, dances with anyone and everyone. She is the heartbeat of every party, the breath of fresh air in a court that often feels suffocated under the expectation of perfection.

Skills and Abilities
Emotion and Sunfire
Her magic is not structural, but rather experiential. She cannot hold the illusions of the court like her aunt does, but she can create intense feelings in others: joy, awe, ecstasy, euphoria. Her magic is strongest in crowds, feeding off the energy of others, blooming like fireworks of emotion.

Celestial Alignment
Solaine was born during the Summer Solstice, the festival of light. It is said she came into the world laughing, glowing with an unnatural heat that terrified her midwives. Her magic pulses almost uncontrollably during the solstice and is much stronger during midday hours. She seems to wilt, though, in the cold and moonlight. Not just magically, but emotionally as well.

Biography & Lore
Despite being born into a noble line, Solaine was never raised with the expectation of power. She was the second daughter of a second son. A spare in a world that never expected much of her. Her parents indulged her eccentricities- her mismatched clothes and her unfortunate habit of painting the walls when she was not being watched.
She was still a child when her mother, Princess Mirevale died. The courts called it illness, but Solaine knew it was poison. Everyone had expected Gwynevere, the youngest LaRoe, to wither. Instead, the pale and sickly last-born stepped into the throne. Her father, distraught by his wife's death, often sent Solaine to spend time in Fainraeth to learn under the wing of the Queen. Gwynevere raised her gently, but strategically. For all her softness, the Queen is not naïve. She saw what Solaine has to offer and so she helped her bloom into the girl who could smile while grieving, bend the truth without ever lying, and how to kill if ever the need came.
