Sky grew up in the swamp with her family of Sprites, all of whom stuck very closely to tradition. This meant that Sky would not be named until she had finished her youth training. And within the Sprite community, the Sprites spoke of nonviolence and disinterest with the other races unless they came onto their land. For this reason, Sky grew up believing that the Sprites were superior to the other races. For what other reason would she have to believe that her race would ignore them? They may have spoken of peace, but they were always prepared for war. From a young age, Sky had always thought that that was a strange contradiction. However, she thought nothing of it as she was taught how to manipulate water and taught how to use blades made from the water she manipulated. She showed incredible talent for this one thing and so the community named her "Sk,Er'Una'Lan'Del" meaning "Deliverer of Water Death". For the Sprites, this essentially meant that she was one who could wield water blades with incredible force and speed. Sky had earned her name by the age of 12, but she continued to train so she may become stronger.

As Sky grew past the age of 18, she was introduced to the council of Blade Dancers, which made her feel incredibly honored. The council of Blade Dancers did not see many people and were rarely ever seen, almost never by common members of the community. Within the Sprite community, the council of Blade Dancers was a collection of leaders who were able to wield swords with such prowess that they were among the best warriors in the community. They greeted her with what seemed like open arms at first. However, this meeting was not to show Sky how much she had grown and how good she was. Sky was supposed to engage in a match between the leader of the Blade Dancers to show Sky how much she needed to grow. As Sky faced off against "Sk,Er'Una'Lan-a'Dyr", meaning "Deliverer of Water's End", Sky was easily defeated. The leader seemed to have a shimmering glow about him as the battle ended and he instructed Sky to come back every day and battle with him.

Sky did just that. Sky trained with the leader of the Blade Dancers every day and in just 5 short years, Sky was renowned as the second-best Blade Dancer in the entirety of the community. However, Sky was unsatisfied with being in the council of Blade Dancers. So she left and began to interact with the people of the community. Her master was incredibly disappointed, but Sky became the figure that the people needed to interact with. Sky became an entertainer and gave the people someone to focus on and cheer on. Sky gave children inspiration for wanting to become Blade Dancers, rather than having nothing to go off of other than tradition.

Sky became a renowned figure in the community, but this was not enough for Sky. She was considered very young in the Sprite community and if this was all she could shoot for, how could she ever hope to live with a fulfilled life? So Sky left the swamp in the dark of night, venturing into new places. Sky would be the first, and maybe the last, of her race to venture out into the world. And she was perfectly alright with that.
