Silvar Echterion
After the slaughter brought by the Eventide, Silvar became one of the youngest councilors that the Sphere of the Edict had ever known, and over the years he has developed a reputation of an insolent youth questioning things when and where he shouldn't. Despite that, he has kept his position by the grace of being one of the brightest minds of his generation, with interests that lie both in the distant past and near future of his people.
Appearance
It is hard to mistaken Silvar as being anyone other than one of the Aerai: he is tall, swift, white-haired and blue-eyed. He can apprear striking to outsiders not used to his people, but in between the ranks of the Aerai Silvar stands out more by the grace of his bearings than looks: he carries himself with grace and confidence some would call excessive for his age.
Skills and Abilities
Silvar has taken the natural aptitude for telepathy and telekenesis possessed by all Aerai to the extreme, both by inherited talent and devoted practice. He hardly ever has a need for physical touch in his telepathy and has been known to communicate with others over great distances, and his talent for telekenesis is so considerable, that his mentors built his entire fighting style around it from a very young age.
Rather naturally, this has lead to his interest in magic being primarily aimed at magic of the mind: both to control his own and exert influence over others, despite his teachers' best efforts to direct him towards more traditional disciplines.
His talent in this is undeniable, but there have been many whispers on his habit to reach too far too quickly for his young age, and speculation that at this rate Silvar might not only become one of the youngest councilors, but also one of the youngest councilors to go mad from putting too much strain on his mind. He has, so far, elected to ignore this.

Personality
An idealist.
Silvar likes to ask questions. In an ancient society built around a highly militaristic structure, this has caused him some issues, but he is too stubborn to relent even when directly told to do so. He is highly curious and never settles for a short answer when there is a longer one to be found, and despises explanations like "that's just how things are".
Despite the friction it might cause, Silvar is far from an unpleasant individual: he enjoys good company, cares deeply for his people and seeks knowledge in hopes that one day it will restore the life and vibrance of his home. Though he would probably do better if he didn't occasionally get carried away by thinking that he's the smartest person in any given room.

Biography & Lore
Before the Eventide, Silvar was an apprentice to one of the eldest members of the High Council: a scholar dedicated to gathering written records of the ancient past and commiting them to the Shorai. He had been picked for the position for his bright mind, and once the war had ravaged the land and taken the life of his mentor with it, it was that same mind together with desperate need that afforded him a place on the Council.
Ever since, it has been his duty to not only help with protecting the Sharyrdian Order, but also venture out into the inhospitable wilds and ruins of their once great cities to try and scavenge whatever shards of knowledge might still be left there, anything that might help them in the ongoing struggle. Though it wouldn't be true to claim that Silvar doesn't also have his private ambitions — dreams of discovering ancient secrets of his people and leading them into a new golden age —, or curiosities regarding the people outside of Sharyrdaes which sometimes make him stray further than strictly necessary.
