Seska Kardis
Appearance
Seska is a sidhe, although she is not native to Arethil and therefore differs slightly from the native-born population.
She is slightly built, full figured and fair of skin. She is diminutive for her kind, coming in at a little over a meter tall. She has a narrow face with high cheekbones that is nonetheless soft. Her eyes are the color of amethyst, and glow with a mild inner light owing to her heritage. Quite often, they are soft and seemingly friendly. She wears her long silver hair loose or tied at the neck with a ribbon. There are scars on her back where wings might once have been (she doesn't remember if they were ever there, or if it was some other atrocity committed against her person).
She prefers to wear dresses of modest style, generally of single colors or with minimal accents (although she is quite fond of embroidery and is a dab hand at the craft herself). She carries a staff with her, an elegent thing that looks to be made of rosewood and carved of twisting vines and flowers that sometimes move when looked at.
Like all fae-folk, she appears much younger than she is. It is not easy to mistake her for a human child in any way other than height

Skills and Abilities
Despite not being Duannan, she has incredibly potent magical abilities that mark her out among her kindred as different. Much of this disparity in strength comes from practice; the otherworldly Sidhe is many, many thousands of years old and has taken a specific interest in magical arts from a young age.
Probably.
Celestial Alignment: Lunar.
Greatter Affinity: Wind
Seska is naturally attuned with the element of air. She is exceptionally resistant to magic of this kind and related kinds. Utilizing magic of this affinity requires less effort on her part.
Less Affinity: Fire
She is quite proficient with fire as well, and like her greater affinity is more resistant to magical forms of this element.
She is well studied and learned in all manners of magic, although she doesn't use every discipline. She has a talent for healing arts as well as most forms of offensive magic.
Most of the time she does not use a great deal of strength. It is more effective to use a light touch; not every situation requires a hammer. She does not have specific learned spells, but rather adapts her sorcery as needed to achieve a desired effect - with varying degrees of effectiveness.
She avoids physical confrontation when possible. She is very much best suited to fighting at a distance or through other people.
Seska is also extremely intelligent and resourceful. She is very knowledgeable on many subjects revolving around magic. Her knowledge of the world of Arethil is a little less relevant; from her perspective the world of mortals moves quickly and is difficult to follow.

Personality
She is passionate about magical pursuits and not much else. Even then, that passion has waned over thousands of years.
She is ambivalent about the mortal world, considering the actions of the short-lived peoples of the world as completely ephemeral. Aside from brief forays into that world seeking nostalgia for a world that she can scarcely remember anymore, she prefers to be away from the world.
Which isn't to say she is unaware of parts of it. The fae Courts pique her interest, and she keeps an eye on the situation between the various Courts to make sure the balance between them is maintained.
Seska believes that the balance of power is one of the most important things within the world of the immortals, whether they believe it to be so or not. Her own people - different from the faefolk of Arethil - have long been dead, long having reached the peak of their power before destroying themselves in their hubris. She does not wish to see the same thing happen here.
She is quite possibly truly immortal. The thought of being alone on another dead world for the remainder of time is a terrifying one. Too few survived the Great War (which she can barely remember) to speak of. She wishes to keep what company she can here, even if at a distant.
Seska is generally even tempered, although she does not suffer stupidity well. She regards most others as children at best, though a few manage to gain enough respect to be treated as equals. Her fearsome abilities have led her to not caring particularly who she offends or when, be they lesser fae or King. Such offense is never caused without reason (in her eyes, at least). She also carries grudges and sees betrayal in particular as a cardinal sin. She does not engage in the capricious and mischief-filled antics common among most fae.
She does not often deal in bargains or pacts. She remains aloof from most, especially mortals, for her own reasons.

Biography & Lore
The past is a mystery even to her. The march of time is endless and one-way.
The ability for one to remember even important pieces of their past is limited. Memory is not infinite.
The Dragonslayer does not recall much of her life outside the previous few thousand years. Doesn't even recall how she gained the nickname of a dragon slayer. It is not really amnesia, but something more sinister. The mists of time from before - another world, another life - exist like peaks above a sea of clouds. Glimpses of something she once lived through, endured, suffered, or enjoyed sometimes without the context of what led to that moment. Sometimes it is only a singular event etched in her mind. Sometimes it is even less - simply an impression.
She does not remember her family. She knows her kindred have seen their zenith in one world and knows that they faded.
The death of a world stands stark and impossible to forget (probably). It is why she is on this world.
Seska is wyld by nature, a part of no Court except temporarily. She has participated in their wars and internecine conflicts for longer than most of the living members of the Courts have been alive.
